Wonderful playing of my favorite prelude and fugue! One question - the fake veil work around the organ in both the drawing (from the Mense Ruiter restoration?) and the old pictures look very nice, how come it was removed? To improve acoustics or to expose the frescoes above the organ? Are there any plans to re-install it?

Thank you, Joannes! (I am not sure if this your own name, or that of the ancient harpischord builder or both). The drawing was made by Freytag in connection with the enlargement of the organ in 1806. As you can see in the pictures, the veil is painted, so it has no acoustical effect Check www.arpschnitger.nl/nl/snoordb.html for the history of the instrument
