Strauss always wrote happy, beautiful music, how could you stay sad listening to this? I close my eyes, a smile on my face as I sway from left to right in time with the music. I also use my hands and pretend I am conducting. Thank you Johann Strauss.

This Strauss waltz reminds me of the movie “Sissi Empress of Austria” (Sissi Emperatriz) or Empress Elisabeth of Austria , when she is dancing this waltz with her husband Emperor Franz Josef! Elisabeth of Austria is one of my favorite queens of all time! The movie based on her life was a 1950’s movie and I saw it when I was a child . What a gorgeous movie that was, absolutely exquisite! That’s when I fell in love with Strauss waltzes! Love them all. God bless the souls of all these geniuses great composers from a beautiful time where romance existed. It doesn't have to be only a dream. You can turn it into reality with dancing lessons (seriously), then doing a bit of research on the various balls in Vienna to choose one or more to attend. Many are held between New Years and Ash Wednesday, and there are at least two big summer balls held in June. I'm turning my waltz dream to reality this January. Alles Walzer!

Számomra ez a legelragadóbb performance. Sokszor megnéztem, és meghallgattam. Most újra megnézem, meghallgatom.Daniel Barenboim karmester minden részletre odafigyel, teljes szinkronban együttműködik a szimfonikus zenekarral.
