I love everything about this video! I save so many scraps of my life (receipts, tickets, tags, etc.) but I never know what to do with them! I just save them in envelopes, but I feel so inspired looking at this

I have always said your style is similar to mine. I I enjoy my Selphy photo printer to print 2” x 3” photos. My next journal is going to be a 9” x 6” which is a bit bigger than I usually make. I love all your journals!

LOVE THIS!!!...i have a maybe odd but serious question and wonder if u ever have thought about this...when ur a little old lady and ur time here on earth is done and u move on to other adventures...who gets ur journals?...do u leave them to ur children?...thats what i would do..i have 3 daughters and my dilemma is what if they all want them or maybe (hopefully not tho)...they dont get along and end up fighting over them?...this is what actually stops me from actually making one...then im thinking should i make one for each...with kind of the same memories or info...then i get overwhelmed...i know that sounds absurd lol...but just wondering what u would do?..or will u do?💖😺💖

I have more journals than I do kids 🤣 basically i worry the opposite, that they might feel burdened to keep them all but I absolutely would not expect them to. In my mind they’re there for them should the time come and they want them but if they do not they do not have to. And I think there will be plenty to go around if they do 🤣

So I have two daughters and I keep a journal/junk journal one for each them. What I do is the important memories and such that involve both of them, I put that in both their journals but I usually word it a little differently for each and then other than that I stick to doing pages that are specific to each daughter that way I’m not making two identical journals. Hope that makes sense!

There was only one journal that I filled that skipped around. The rest are all chronological front to back because I find it helps me to order my thoughts better.

I enjoy seeing how you add items from everyday life into your journals. You have inspired me to do the same. May I ask you how you photograph linens and shrink them down to use in journals? I have some of my late mother's and grandmother's I would like to use that way. I do not have a YT channel, nor an Etsy shop. It's just for my personal use but would be so meaningful to me. Thanks!

I just scan them in and enhance them if need be! Everybody scans their linens in now absolutely go for it! ♥️

@@janinewoodhull3611 if they don’t fit, I just scan the best portion of it, and when it’s printed it doesn’t really matter if it’s a half or quarter linen because it fits on the edge or corner if a page beautifully! 🥰

The phrase "junk journal" is from America, I can't stand it myself. Who wants junk in their journals. I prefer art journal. But the phrase has stuck, here in Australia as well., even for describing beautiful work.

It was so niche then and i think has really grown into an umbrella term for any handmade book that is made up of whatever you want (new, old, & best of all mixtures!) i do keep junk in here, but I also keep treasure! ♥️
