@@JohannaNorth all the best Johanna. You are such a beautifully natured woman and that comes across brilliantly in your vlogs. Yes I guessd that the move was due to Vinod's work. Vinod's job has taken you guys on some adventures. For example, it gave you INCREDIBLE stays at the Taj with the view of the India gate from the room. What wonderful luxury and a month full of memory making. Also it's taken you on some not so great journeys to places where you are stuck indoors for long periods of time alone with Annika. And now a major uproot from Kerala to Mumbai. It's amazing at times but detrimental at other times. In England we call these types of situations swings and roundabouts. Your life is one big adventure, esp with Vindo's job and also being a foreigner in India with a small child. You are incredibly blessed to have Annika and such a long stay at the Taj. And then there's the opposite end of the scale where you are indoors for long periods of time with a little one and also needing to leave Kerala. But life is a state of impermanence. Yes definitely enjoy the Mumbai adventure, as nothing lasts forever. Namaste and Blessings Kas 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I guess being a multilingual kid is a blessing and a curse at the same time. It has its pros and cons. But Annika manages it extraordinarily. This tourist spot is fascinating. Only a blue celestial sky and blue sea are missing in these parts of India. Take care, Johanna 😘
@JohannaNorth11 ай бұрын
Annika is lucky to have natural linguistic talent to support her circumstances 😊 but every situation has its pros and cons, varying by the individual. As a child, I found it to be a curse to be born to a very small finnish town, and probably wouldve loved to be multilingual if I knew such thing existed. At least I got to start learning several foreign languages at school at the age of 9, in addition to what I learned on my own much before that. Now I do of course miss my hometown, and would love to be raising Annika there, but for 30ish years I always wanted out 😅

There are a lot of beggars in Kerala, most of them from Tamil Nadu. It's not as clean as you might think, especially in cities and markets. However, villages are nice, especially during monsoons. But in summer, it's almost unlivable.

Well, a malayali commenting this trying to hide as a foreigner. You'll see beggars and lit here as well, unless you're satisfying your blind ego. State has it's own pros and cons and saying litter doesn't exist in Kerala or our lottery system just shows all your half baked knowledge

@@JohannaNorth Don't mind about these Hindu nationalistic bots pretending as Keralites. Since Kerala is a multi-religious society, these Hindu nationalistic North Indian bots are spreading so much misinformation. They are trying to portray that India is only safe when it is 100% Hindus. So don't take any heed of this. You are always welcome in Kerala❤

@@JohannaNorth so glad that Kerala gave u a positive experience where u can treasure memories forever. 😍You did live in a beautiful secluded place. I was in Varkala, sadly a bitter tourist resort and i was badly targeted. I experienced alot of prejudice because my parents were from Punjab and not south India. Also I experienced prejudice as I was a British woman solo traveling. Sadly I was there on lockdown in a bitter and very dangerous patriarchy society. It was not good at all Johanna. But iv had much better experieces in other parts of India. I think a woman's experience depends on her location and marital status. Sad fact I know. It has been over 10 years since I visited Bekal"linna". Back then they didn't have gaurd rails in the steps leading to the tower. So it was a lot more scary.😮 At Nandi Hills near Bangalore, where Tipu Sultan had a fort, there's a steep long drop named " Tipu's Drop", where enemies of Tipu were condemned to fall to their deaths. Tipu has given me an idea...I'm going to Bekal once more with all my annoying relatives to do the same.....a perfect place to dispose the evidence...
