I tried this technique. Unfortunately it just doesn't last as long as the tape is flimsy when it is not attached to another hair extension and lifts/peels after a few days.

Actually it’s the opposite. For thin hair you don’t want super thick double extensions holding your hair down. It’s too heavy and falls out. Also, if yours came out I can almost guarantee you put too much hair in between the tapes.

Extensions need to be lifted every 6-8 weeks depending on your individual growth tape ins can be used but how long they last really depends on the quality of the hair (some may fall apart after one use, some can last up to a year/longer my hair is collar bone length, medium density and i ordered 40pcs. you may need 60-80 if you want thick long hair but it WILL be damaging... thin hair may break trying to hold the weight. amount of pieces vary depending on your length, thickness, etc. natural... eh? i have had human clip ins, that feel natural but still different texture to my own - i've ordered my tape ins from the same company i purchase my clip ins from how to blow dry - many videos on YT. products: extra tape, remover, sulphate free shampoo/conditioner --- also recommend leave in conditioners and oils to help keep it healthy (i use all these products on my natural hair already) i've just ordered tapes for the first time, have not actually worn them yet... they should arrive in 3 days but im just looking at a lot of videos to help me im not a professional but i do recommend actually going to a stylist or watching videos that other creators have uploaded if you plan on doing them yourself :)

I suffer from PCOS so I really can’t wear extensions cause I scared and worried about more breakage I came across halo extensions haven’t tried them but am thinking to buy them they seem to be really good for more thickness in the hair and volume but I also have a root cover spray… the thing is I spoken to someone who specialises in hair and just to get a topper that isn’t even a wig it will cost me £800 and than I don’t feel comfortable to wear braid in hair extensions as I will have to come and go to get them done and sorted so I want something easier

you can use the tape but use an oil base remover to help take the tape out of the hair. The oil will help cut the tackiness of the tape and they will slide right out

So to clear things up,these extensions are just ordinary extensions, the only diffrence is that you use only one and instead of adding another one back to back you just use a trip of tape to adhere it to the hair for security....is that right?and how long can they stay in? how and with what products do you wash them? and how do you remove them without causing damage to fine fragile hair..?Thankxx

Yes, you are right, you remove them and treat your hair with the same products you use for the regular extensions. The only difference is that is an invisible tape.

I thought that tape damages and rips your hair. This model you did them on has much thicker hair than me. Mine is like spider web. I also don't have much of it so absolutely no volumn at all. I just happened to get these same hair extensions yesterday for the same exact reason you’re talking about. She applied them only to the sides to fill in my sparse areas. The tapes were “mini” tapes (about 1/3 the size of these) My stylist thought it was best to go with the minis because my hair is much thinner than the woman in this video. She also ordered them from HairTalk. So far they look good but it’s only been a day. I made an appointment for her to wash them for me so I can see how she does it before I try to do it myself.
