I actually did have jehovah witness at my door, i was humble and polite and respectful, but did ask who did they say Jesus is and they said the son of God. To which i said, the Bible says Jesus is God. They disagreed but i told them the verses you read tonight AND Genesis 1 and the verses where God said…….they couldnt wait to get away quick enough, i was ready, God was with me, they had no comeback. I just hope they go home and read those verses in the privacy and quiet of their own homes and God reveals Himself to them. God bless

@@lilkev101kev2 and yet Jesus is God. I don't think we can fully comprehend the trinity. Jesus is God period. He came as the son, but if he always was (which I believe and appears to be said in the Bible) then how can he just be designated the son of God alone ? Like I said, I think it's beyond our comprehension for now until revealed which coincides with Isaiah 55:8-9 as far as I'm concerned.

⁠@@maryjeanglenn2486 great question. The whole of scripture tells us there is one God. If we are honest, we know we are sinful and imperfect. (dead in our sins, separated from God). The Bible is God’s revelation to us Philippians two verse seven tells us that Jesus emptied himself and became a man (a servant). The Bible tells us all the call on the name (power and authority) of the lord, will be saved. Salvation(Bing accepted by God) is a gift he gives us in the Bible reveals that there is three persons, but one god. God’s best on our quest for absolute truth It was god’s plan to come into this universe as a human to ransom himself for those he loved.

Thank you. I'm lying in bed crook and i wanted to feed my spirit on the scriptures. Starting with John's gospel, i got to verse 5 at was stopped by the word light..... Pulling out my lexicon i found the explanation and was so intrigued i had to find out more. Jumping on KZbin i topped on John 1:5. Your study came up. WHAT A BLESSING...!! I'm Penticostal by denomination. Not one renowned for deep scriptural study. I'm blessed to have a great teacher as a pastor. In saying that though, the deconstruction of the text to suck out the marow (which is where the goodness lays) is in short supply. Your study of the first 5 verses has not only captured me. The Strong's Concordance takes the Bible back to the original Hebrew Aramaic and Greek to find out every word in the Bible and its original meaning. This is why I like to study with the Holy Spirit everyone has their own interpretation.

One other comment (but certainly not a criticism). When referencing the trinity, you mentioned the Holy Spirit almost in passing. God is indivisible Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All present and active in creation. And also present and active today. Please ensure you you don't reduce the Holy Spirit to just a force. The Holy Spirits (God's abiding presence here on earth) is still THE LIGHT. Blessings

Genesis 1:0 would read Before the beginning of time WAS GOD. God lives outside of time. God gave us about 7,000 years total in the earth, before He rolls the heavens and earth up like a scroll. God's Word is fascinating when you study the entire inspired Word. Greatest love story ever told.

NIV is a terrible translation of the Bible based on all the omitted verses. Don’t just talk about the JW Bible and not bring up how bad the NIV is as well lol.

I challenge you to show me ONE SINGLE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE that is either missing or changed by the NIV translation. I've taught through the Bible going on 4 times now and DAILY I compare all the current modern translations and I can tell you that although there are minor wording changes, NOTHING IS MISSING from the NIV. You have unfortunately believed misinformation.
