I was around 5 years old when John Anderson came to the Turlock Fair. I got lost in the crowd before the event began and my father was frantically trying to search for me. Just when he was about to contact security, John Anderson walks up to my father while holding my tiny little hand. I began pointing at my father from some distance away and John took me straight to him. I never got the chance to thank John for that but I'm Still Hangin' On.

It should and perhaps has a chance. The Grammy country categories are generally much better than the CMA or ACM awards. Tanya Tucker's album won this year for best country album, as did Loretta Lynn's Van Lear Rose in 2005 and Johnny Cash's Unchained in '98. In each case, the Grammy's awarded an artist very late in his/her career with their biggest country award. This album is John Anderson's equivalent to those late career great albums.

Saw him perform In the early 2000s at Memphis in May.there was only about 20 of us at his stage but he stopped evsry few songs and would walk around greeting everyone and shaking hands and taking pictures thanking everyone personally for coming out to his show.a true class act.
