In what possible ways? I think it most accurately depicted Asian gay men within the western gay community. Plus it was written and directed by an Asian man.

This film is very offensive. The John and Marco are stereotypical. John comes across as weak under whiteness. His proposal is eclipsed by John. His restaurant has John's name first. His white fiancee, John's sister, leaves Jack just like that. Marco is such a cliche. He was over the top.
