John Beeden - Solo Rower Across the Atlantic & Pacific

Solo rower, John Beeden, rowed solo across the Atlantic and Pacific, for fun! John admits the reason for him getting into rowing was he needed a new challenge. He was always a runner, now an aging runner, and he was starting to slow down. John gives us a background into what ocean rowing is and describes the capabilities and design of his boat, a boat that is very different from the image of the rowboat we all know. Watch, and prepare to be fascinated. as John describes the coolest thing for him in his adventures, showing pictures and videos of the changing current, and his changing body, over the course of his trip, all while talking about the topic of loneliness, hard work, long days and nights, and all the beautiful sunsets, animals and sea life he saw.
