Very interesting to hear John's perspective on things. Engin, Devon and John make the best podcasts imo. Just a wealth of knowledge and experience between them.

Anytime I see John Brzenk I instantly watch him, the man is FULL of stories and four plus decades long experience in the sport so I can’t imagine anyone knowing more at this time. People need to listen to him and use his wisdom to advance. Liked !!!

Engin please consider signing the sign EvW trading card deck/cover. You're the most incredible promoter I've ever seen. I personally would feel honored having you sign it too. I think all the arm wrestlers signing it is amazing they are all a big part of the events. I also believe you are a huge part of the events also. I know it would be hard because time wise you are very busy, and thats fine. I will not be mad, I just had to throw this suggestion out there because I think very highly as you and respect your knowledge in the sport and your love towards it. You're an incredible person. Ps dont ever let the trolls get to you because reacting to them will only affect your mind negatively, and you dont need any of that, you're a good man. Stay strong, love arm wrestling. Much love to everyone.

John can do some of the best commentary and analysis on armwrestling while remaining unbiased. Armwrestling needs him to be involved if not as a competitor then as commentator, of course on his own terms.

I miss them too. I think his increase in pain, loss of motivation, loss of matches and lack of MNL kinda collided. What do you think? I'm not sure which came first.
@PrimeA169
@PrimeA169 8 ай бұрын
When was the last time he even did that? Like a year or 2 ago? lol I think he has just accepted he can’t compete at the top level anymore. It’s over for him unless you throw him a guy he can beat. Maybe like…Lachlan or something
@LeahRobb
@LeahRobb 8 ай бұрын
@@PrimeA169 Lachlan gave Krasi problems, so if John doesn't get into a much better shape, he won't beat Lachlan either. But I don't think it's age. Have you seen Mike Tyson's footage? I think it's injuries and long covid...I still hope he gets the fire back, but who knows.
@PrimeA169
@PrimeA169 8 ай бұрын
@@LeahRobb I don’t think it’s injuries personally or long covid. I just think he’s facing competition that’s taking the sport alot more seriously than in the past. Guys are just incredibly strong now. Johns greatest asset has always been his hand and wrist. A guy like Lachlan is lacking in those areas which is why he is a good matchup for a potential win for John. The hook bs hook battle with krasi was why the match was made in the first place. A planned match to allow lachlan to use his power. With John that wouldn’t happen. Either way that’s the best potential guy I can see John facing for a win. Everyone else is really just surpassing him at this point. You can’t not lift weights and expect to be top level anymore. It’s just not realistic. John just won’t do it.
@LeahRobb
@LeahRobb 8 ай бұрын
@@PrimeA169 Oh you are right John needs to train - even table time would be good. Since the Corey match he has regularly mentioned how little he has been able to train. Either he's been sick with covid or aching - or lacking motivation?. Hook? Well Krasi said he felt most uncomfortable in a hook with John, which was interesting. John's hand, wrist, speed and connection were what made him great, yes. And you are absolutely right. There are many guys taking it very, very seriously and that is hard for a 59 year old to keep up with - particularly if they are using the kind of PEDs John is not prepared to use. I'll miss seeing him pull if he stops. I saw his dad pull once and even that was amazing ☺️

He's not about to die, but was having a privacy bout and didn't want to leave debris of himself around on the internet...I think he also thinks he's boring...something like that. He has previously mentioned that he can suffer from depression, so maybe there was something like that that triggered him. KZbin is somewhat poorer after he did that though.

Muratov dominates on his left the way John dominated on his right. If we get over the artificial importance of the right arm, and Alizhan continues this freakish dominance on the left for another couple decades, thereis another conversation for another GOAT.

Most people are using the Levan is "too juiced" to be defeated. The reality is, that even if you were to add a strict PED enforcement on AW, Levan is still a naturally big man. Before he blew up to over 180kg + he was at about 120kg around 2017 without the horse PEDs. He's just a genetically gifted strong man, his bone density is thick which leads to carrying more muscle weight. I think on a full natural level he would still be top 3, if not the champ. I would love to see PED enforcement in the sport of arm-wrestling because it would subsequently open up the field on the ground level for kids who aspire to get into this sport.
