Break up of original trio, divorce, mary jane possesion all the time letting people know what it is really about. Australians weather well. He reminds me of us in the '60's. Miss his nails. I don't think I'll ever see a live show as incredible as the one I saw in Townsville circa 2005-06. John Butler with his prime crew of Michael Barker and Shannon Birchall. Just wow. I know they weren't the original band members, but Michael and Shannon made the real magic happen when it came to JBT's live shows. It's a shame those days are over, but boy am I glad it happened

Parker Eby Agreed, Parker, and he plays that one differently every time... He used to play it busking in young days. Rarely has he made studio versions of "Ocean" but the 2012 studio version is sooooo ...well words fail really. You gotta hear it for yourself.
