The Ship Song kind of crushes all the others.... As much as I love all 3 artists, there's no denying that one...

I've been a huge fan of Nick Cave for years and just today listened to several John Cale albums- You Tube led me here- and I thought wow that's where Nick Cave must have got it from so now I shall be spending money I don't have just like I did with Nick Cave years ago and buying all of John Cale's albums. Some boring information for you there.

Cale and Chrissie are great, but unfortunately for them it only puts emphasis on how monumental Nick is.

I went to this recording. Staggering stuff. AND met Robert Forster and Grant McLennan of The Go-Betweens at the bar. Top night.

Im like the biggest Nick fan, but i love that there's all this testosterone flying cross the room with Nick being amazing and loving John, the John feeling like he has to punk up his vibe for Nick, and Chrissie is just over here like aw shucks I'm gonna have an amazing timbre, great chops and simple, pretty punk era songwriting skills, and she tosses it off like "shit i hope that was good enough". She's so great, hahaha.

It blows my mind how f*cking genius John Cale is, that performance of ‘Fear is a Man’s Best Friend’ one of the greatest songs of all time, is electrifying. “Kind of hard to follow that” damn right Chrissie 👌 Three legends on one stage.

i'm surprised john cale is so open and talkative. i don't think he would speak that much now but it's nice to see.

What a band ! Chris Hynde, the most beautiful singer, John Cale as a godfather and Nick Cave, the fabulous.

I can't believe how much John Cale's "Dying on the Vine" sounds like Nick Cave.

"Dying on the vine " just sums it all up for those who know that they have so much more to give and perhaps also don't know how to move ahead, to gamble, take a risk, grasp the nettle and believe that what you have is something valuable that a wider world will get. John Cale is such a precious gift to the world. Gracious and generous, polite and caring yet forthright in his own way of what is right. More people need to pay attention to the likes of John Cale.

Love the Welsh accent to his voice, his insane rants and his pure passion for lyrical verse. Where to my son? I can't stop playing it and singing it in my head. I even sing it like him in the car and drivers must think i'm Bonkers :)
