Some of the scenes flesh things out. Christine only killed Repperton's crew and Darnell outright because they wronged her and Arne directly. She warned Dennis, and allowed someone to get to Leigh to save her from choking because she knew Arne cared about them, and chose to warn them first out of respect for that. But then you see Arne catch Leigh and Dennis kissing, how furious he gets, and it makes sense that it's actually Arne that tries to kill them at the end, not Christine driving herself. After Arne dies, Christine kills herself more so then tries to kill Dennis and Leigh in that bulldozer. She knew they'd kill her.

Wait, In the movie Darnell never wronged arnie, infact he did go after who he thought was a thief messing with arnies car. (In the movie perspective only) she killed him cause he saw too much. the books way more detailed about arnies relationship with Darnell. The movie doesn’t even mention arnie was running contraband, or had been arrested in the process. The other link was in the book Roland leBay had made a few runs for Darnell too. What's funny is the actor who played Vandenburg (Stuart Charno) in this scene did an interview in the Friday the 13th documentary Crystal Lake Memories (he was the comedy goofball in Part 2 who stayed at the bar and ironically didn't get killed in that film), that his scene of him getting crushed under the car was deleted and edited because he looked so goofy getting crushed.

Where i got squished, and they originally filmed it as me getting crushed under the car to die. In the movie they wound up not using that scene, and I'm convinced because I don't die good ::laughs::. Most of these are good cuts, for time purposes and because they add little to the story. The scenes I think they should have kept: -when Arnie sees that Leigh signed Dennis' cast, as it establishes some kind of a friendship between Dennis and Leigh earlier in the movie, and demonstrates Arnie's anger and possessiveness. -most of the extended Dennis/Leigh scenes in general. We need to see them form an actual bond. I know the kiss scene is a point of contention, but maybe it could have been left with him just holding her to comfort her and Arnie still seeing it and flipping out. -the death of the red-haired bully. Being crushed by the car lift is so brutal, and it makes that whole scene flow better. -anything with Harry Dean Stanton, because you can never have too much Harry Dean Stanton. Plus, the scene where he says that they found the paint embedded in Moochie actually gives some explanation as to why he's so suspicious of Arnie and the car.
@drlight6677Ай бұрын
The red-haired bully being crushed to death by the car lift was cut and changed because of how bad it looked and how hokey his acting was, the actor talked about it in the Crystal Lake Memories documentary when joking about how why his character in Friday the 13th Part 2 survived. "I don't die good!" lol. Most of these scenes should've been kept in, and yeah Harry Dean Stanton is always incredible in everything, truly one of the greatest character actors ever along with Robert Prosky. The relationship breakdown and Arnie's slow building suspicion and explosive rage with Dennis and Leigh getting together is key, along with how close Arnie and Dennis were before Christine took control of him.
