Got the core game on sale from Mōdiphiüs. Despite previously dodging 2d20 (because… too many systems getting jumbled in mah brainpan!) John Carter of Mars finally tempted me off the fence. It's such great pulpy sci-fantasy fun. Thanks for this walkthrough of character creation. It's really good - clear and simple for some surprisingly enjoyable (added depth with every decision) character creation mechanics. Looking forward to running this one.
