Ironically I think his first promo with Cena helped him step up more. Then after he came back from the leukemia and covid he was a completely different person character wise. So I believe the switch flipped in his head to where he realized this doesn't last forever. And I might as well try something different. This version of him as the Tribal Chief is the best version of him because he's clearly enjoying his role while also being at the top of his game telling a story. When you can tell a great story and then back it up in the ring, you are truly great in pro wrestling. It's a level of psychology that very few reach.

Let's be honest though it's thank to Paul Heyman though , Roman is a yes man and will follow orders given to him , Paul took things into his own hands and spoke to Vince about bringing him under his wing , Roman has improved but it's thanks to Paul
@CalSaurous
@CalSaurous Жыл бұрын
@@leonenarwani7258 you're an idiot who has absolutely no clue. All of Roman's success is down to him. If he was a yes man he'd have come back as a face. It's already been stated in several interviews that Roman has been the dictator since coming back. He chose to be a heel, he chose to work with the Uso's, he chose to work with Sami Zayn, he's booking his storylines and moments with Paul Heyman and Michael Hayes behind the scenes, everything that has made Roman an overwhelming success since 2020 is down to him. His cadence, his promos, his interactions with the crowd, everything that makes him above every other in-ring performer is down to him. And every metric in the world proves Roman has been an unbelievable success since 2020, and it's hilarious that a very small and insignificant segment of fans online try to play down his importance.

Also does help that he's from the 'royal family' that's loved and favored by Vince which makes him practically un-firable unless he truly screws up like causing a major public scandal WWE can't sweep under the rug. I mean let's be honest, how many other guys on the roster have had the number of pushes he's had despite his early mediocrity where the entire audience felt like Vince was saying that Roman is 'the guy' and absolutely nothing was going to change that? Remember the times when he got booed out of every arena everywhere? The man has had more protagonist plot armor than the entire roster put together... Most guys get one push and then are midcard for life if they don't make it.... not Roman tho. So, yeah... sure he's done well being the face of the company now but nobody can say he truly earned it 100%. It's more like 50% hard work, 25% being from the right family and 25% just happening to be Vince McMahon's chosen favourite.

I didn't like Roman Reigns from a character standpoint, he always had great in-ring abilities though. This brings me always back to the Cena vs. Theory promo where he said he doesn't believe him. This was essentially the same with Roman Reigns, the fans didn't believe him because Roman also didn't believe in that character that the producers wanted us to buy. It's a different story now, the tribal chief and the bloodline is an awesome faction and angle that just worked out perfectly. The secret is to let performers try what they wanna do and see where it goes. Pushing a character to the audience that they do not like will always work against them. Then you had Sami Zayn coming into the picture that gave the Bloodline a new fresh of air AND the longevity that they needed just in time before it got stale. It just worked out perfectly, the timing was top notch. It's just hard to keep the ball rolling at this pace because the momentum won't last forever and they made (so far) the best out of it. It's also time to end it properly before it ruins everything that was build up to this point.

It’s way how they rushed it to making him a baby face immediately we didn’t like the way how it was given so fast to the point where Cena left & Roman became a baby face to being the most HATED baby face of the company. This pandemic truly helped Roman build the persona of being the Tribe Chief which should’ve been a a slow build up towards his character back in 2018 but they made it up immediately which people acknowledge him.

The ratings fell consistently and massively with him on top. He made wrestling corny and goofy again. Terrible in ring, terrible at making people, terrible at having compelling promos as he totally no sold anything said to him for 10 years. Calling spots so loudly and obviously that it destroyed any suspension of disbelief. And let's not forget the monetized and marketed philanthropy through Make a Wish and Cancer charity. From Stephs own words "Philanthropy is the new marketing" not my words folks.. WWE words. And that is the machine that pushed Cena down the throats of audiences all over the world who knew he was absolute trash. Yes he worked hard, yes he's a physically powerful dude and he had great attitude to doing what his boss wanted from him.. but don't for one second try to tell me he was a good wrestler and deserved to be the top guy based on anything related to his actual ability. It wasn’t all just Paul heyman. It was both of them. However roman originally wanted to turn heel years ago after the departure of the shield but Vince never gave him the chance and instead wasted Roman’s career until 2020

Paul Heyman could make anyone look like a million bucks? Other than Brock and Roman and maybe Big Show depending on who you ask what other people has he made look like that?

Yeah, Reigns is trash. He needs five people to put him over in any given match or segment. This is some Emperor’s new clothes shit.

He put all of them over 😂. U got that shit all the way around. They wouldn’t be in the position they were in if not for Roman and being elevated by him. Including Paul heyman since he also helped Roman in starting this entire thing

Wow never saw it that way. Roman is successful now at this cuz he doesn't have to talk anymore, they put Paul by his side for a reason. Now that he doesn't have to open his mouth, he doesn't look stupid or what he was before to the crowd. B4 when he spoke, he just was pathetic. Now he doesn't have to speak, people accept his "character" more so till he just blew up.😊

Nooooooo John that "Suffering succotash!" Is Vince. John in my opinion needs to stop defending Vince BS creative ideas. Roman did not needed that moment. That’s Vince abusing his power for everything.

That’s Vince looking at the future to erase the pass to set this new generation. How do u feel that theirs not one trailblazer to rep a company?? It would be boring fighting for a title with no kinda prestige behind it. Especially if this generation can only rely on the past big names what about the current new talent and names? That’s the point wwe is making now.. when people ask who is the guy everyone gets blank or they assume every guy but it must be a guy it must be a star and Roman is their ⭐️ ☝🏾☝🏾who’s after him we will see. Is jey the guy or jimmy we don’t know but to carry the undisputed title is a heavy burden because everyone is gunning for u you gotta boost ratings. they gonna have to know how to put on a match make the other look good so it’s a lot of hard work. We shall see if one of them can the handle that pressure???? They can’t unless they turn heels have a stable to keep the titles because as face they’ll lose it quicker than they hold it. So they ain’t the guys. Until they prove themselves.

If all this is true, then why cant Roman wrestle? Dude has 3 moves is the most boring matches ever.

"Roman can't wrestle" is completely subjective. Nobody needs to do 1000 moves to tell a story
