James asks John Cho about making "Cowboy Bebop," which included having to shut it down for nearly a year after tearing an ACL while making it. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

I know nothing about the anime. Didn't really interest me. I found the Netflix series to be decent. However, I didn't think the character writers did a great job. Certain characters motivation didn't seem earned. Again, I haven't seen the anime, but I'm just judging it on its own. That said, John Cho's portrayal is probably the best thing on the show. I wish he had more scenes.

I actually dislike John Cho for Spike. Spike was the furthest thing from Asian in the Anime. Robert Pattinson would have made an amazing Spike - and yes he is a fantastic actor with range beyond JC's, case in point the Lighthouse. I love John Cho as an actor but this wasn't it for him.
@what3899
@what3899 2 жыл бұрын
@@humane143imperfection6 LOL ofc the only person that’ve actually said they didn’t like john as spike made it because of race. Literally every person who’s disliked the show so far said him as Spike was one of the only good parts of the live action series. He not only acted the part well, but had hella charisma and looked good as well.
@humane143imperfection6
@humane143imperfection6 2 жыл бұрын
@@what3899 I don't dislike him because of race, his acting comes across as bland rather than aloof in this instance. Trust me, I'm not using race as the basis for this argument 😆 - it's the cherry on top. I thought Jet and Faye were cast appropriately (I thought Faye was decent but that's debatable) but it wasn't really necessary to use a big name for Spike. I don't know why they went with Cho? If they wanted to make Spike Asian as opposed to Israeli/Jewish Native American they could have chosen an actor who had even greater martial arts experience as opposed to someone you really don't see in too many action movies. John Cho is the last name that pops up in my mind when I think of action hero frontmen. However this where I quit talking isht because I've only seen the first three episode's 😆 - reserving the rest of my judgment.
@what3899
@what3899 2 жыл бұрын
@@humane143imperfection6 Well ur only argument was that “spike was the furthest from asian” even though race was never a factor that made spike who he was. John was perfect as spike because he had all the traits needed to play the character which is why almost everyone liked him as spike. As for the fighting it could’ve been better, but thats the only actual downside.

The acting and even the chemistry between the actors is fine. If there's a season 2, they need to work on the dialogue, editing, tweak the fighting choreo and learn what needs to be toned down, like Ed is too much for live action and should not be barking her lines.

I thought the Netflix series was pretty good. People want to compare apples and apples with the anime version but they forget to realize that there's always that artistic space that allows a director or actor to create. For instance, some of the best cover songs are from the musician making it their own. I don't want to hear a cover that sounds exactly like the original. I feel the same way about remakes or adaptations in movies.

01:29 - It's not a problem to be obese - it is a problem to have high visceral fat - even for skinny people. Sumo ringers for example are very healthy because they have a low amount of visceral fat (which feels like muscle and not at all squishy).

I feel sorry for the actors, they did a good job, but the remake is terrible. It's beyond terrible, they didn't understand Cowboy Bebop.
