I saw Quo perform live early in 1972 soon after the release of Dog of Two Head when Frances Rossi was known as Mike Rossi and Rick Parfitt was known as Ritchie Parfitt. It is still today the best (and loudest) gig I have ever been to. That line up with John and Alan could never be beaten.

I remember seeing John doing a drum solo where he worked his way towards the front of the stage playing the floor, Mike stands, monitors and anything else he could hit, gradually going back his kit. Both he and Mick Fleetwood were the greatest shuffle drummers of them all.

John is a real gent, he loved Rick, the Fantastic Four will always be Quo.....Not the old granny stuff they've churned out for too many years. I'm just so glad I saw the real Quo before Rick left us. Rest In Peace Rick.

Yes I much prefered Quo as Francis, Rck, Alan and John. After that I just saw them as a tribute band. Rick burnt the candle at both ends and his fans knew it would end this way. My best memory was 2 nights on the trot of gigs at Lewisham Odeon in 1977 when I thought the balcony would come down because of the fans jumping up and down. Forty-Five Hundred Times was the best track ever. God bless Rick!

Spud, you're a legend.RIP Rick. I've gone to all Quo Dublin concerts for years ,including frantic Four and then the first " Electric" concert the day after Rick announced his resignation from the band. Little did we realise then how Ill he really was.Rhino ( forgot the words) and Andrew sang a bit more than usual.Francis was immense. R😎Ck on Rick.

Thanks John for the kind words on Rick. For what it's worth you can look at yourself in the mirror and say you stayed true to yourself and what QUO was all aboout. The biggest and best groove HARD rock band ever. Quo after John and Alan leaving was in all fairness a joke. The frantic four in their prime and still friends made incredible rock that no other bad has ever come to match. The band out there now with just Franic Rossi ( who likes to think he is Quo) is just a lame rip off. Thanks though for great memories and killer music. Cheers
