@@AngelDove I 100% agree. So many in the fandom hate him and Mary and I just can't. They both made a lot of mistakes, but they loved their sons so much. They were both in awful, untenable situations, and they tried. They failed a lot too, but they tried. Amazing video! So well done, as usual!! ❤️

I just read his diary and I can say that John really loved Mary and that's why he becames a Hunter. Yes, of course he doesn't understand Sam choices but he was suffering. It's sad.

I love the show so much that I refuse to finish season 15 because I don’t want the show to end I have watched season one threw 14 and I watched to a certain point of season 15. I have done it four times sense the ending of the show and I’m working on my 5th watch threw now and I have not done this for any other show. This show saved me at a point when I was mentally ill

When I watched the show as a casual viewer, I felt affection for John. When I finished the show and set foot in this fandom, I started having conflicting feelings about him ever since. Your video reminded me why I had this affection in the first place and gave me a little bit of nostalgia for the early seasons, so I loved it. This edit with this song is chefs kiss 💛

I've read his diary and you can tell that he truly loved his boys and wife but I do feel like he went at it the wrong way, he should have never put so much on dean's shoulders and gave dean and sam a chance to be kids but in his mind everything he did was for him boys

Do you mean tha fanon journal that was created by Alexandra irvine? If so, thats just licensed work and nothing that's official. The author paid for the license to be able to use the characters in his own writing. Any events, and thoughts in that (other than when using canon) is of the writer's creative license and not from the actual official characters/show. He spoke to Eric a few times to get an idea of who John was, but that is as far as it went. Most of what is official of John is what the show put out and what's in official (named official too) merch. I can't stand that journal and how much so many believe to be real of the character when it's fan fic in a physical copy and paid license form. The writer has wrote a lot of licensed journals etc for many shows.

We've talked about my opinions about John over Twitter, I have a really hard love/hate for the guy, but damn your video honestly has me over here trying to debate with myself on why I really have the hatred I do for him. It's such a rocky upbringing for him and his boys, and it's super hard to truly judge him 120% harshly, especially in their situation. There are things he could've done better, but there are also things that in the end he did for the right reasons. You definitely did an amazing job with this video. Look at me a hot mess over here

I've noticed that the voice overs are quieter than the music, sadly this is because KZbin keeps messing with the normalization on their platform, I've always posted tests first to check the audio levels before the actual one published, but it seems over the last 12 months the audio levels have changed a lot with all the videos. I apologize for the lack of audibility with many of the videos on my channel. It's seriously frustrating.
