John Deere 111 Resurrection! engine swap! and lawn sweeping action!

on today's episode of gehrkes garage we decide to pull the old 111 out of the corner and toss an engine into it and go do some lawn sweeping she still needs quite a bit of work but for now shes running and driving!

Question: does the normal John Deere 111 (the gear driven non hydrostatic one, I have an ‘83) have transmission oil? I can’t find where it would be on my mower to change it.

In all the other lawn tractor and mower transmissions that I have torn apart are greased packed rather than oil. That being said, atltf.com has plenty of great threads on the fourm about retrofitting grease packed transaxles with oil.
