Bought one. We tow it behind our x380. Assembly involved swearing when I put together the dump foot pedal and spring due to absent or poor diagrams and instructions. It stipulated putting the foot pedal with the notch in the same direction as the tongue which was the reverse orientation. Your video showed the correct assembly. The bolt threads were starting to strip by the time I reassembled everything but works great now. Last but not least is to buy a zurn elbow for my grease gun so I can reach those grease nipples on the wheels. Then get my jigsaw and use the cardboard template to make a plywood separation panel and maybe later stakes! (For the sides). Cheers!

I struggled with installing the foot pedal until I learned that you need to make sure the two bolts in each side of the spring are centered to the slot. If they aren't centered then the pedal will rub and stick against the sides.

Unbolt the tub, slide it forward, and remount it. You’ll have much more dump angle. Then add a 12 volt actuator lift to assist with the extra tongue weight.
@CraftedChannel4 жыл бұрын
That is a very creative and good idea.

Crafted I have the same cart (but a Brinley) and plan to that to it this week. I know it’ll work. Glad to help.👍🏼

@@boatsnhistory really old comment, I know, but will sliding tub forward help heavier loads not activate the dump lever by accident?? I've heard of the dump engaging while driving. Can't afford to lose my load on the client's yard or driveway. Hauling wet concrete mix for building a Hawaiian rock wall. Aloha and thanks so much for the advice!
@boatsnhistory3 жыл бұрын
@@missaloha808 No, moving it forward will give you more front weight, avoiding the “accidental triggering”, hence the 12volt actuator to assist with the lift, and control the precise dumping angle. More suitable for concrete, I’d imagine. 👍🏼

JOHN DEER!!! Now we see who is making all the money with that new job. LOL. I had that style of dump cart when I had my lawn care business and it was handy for rolling a push mower into the bed to haul it down the street to the next job. No lifting required.

I’ve had mine a year now and have to say that this is not a trailer that you can abuse. The poly is extremely durable as advertised, and this trailer would be great for an ATV as it is light and capacious. However, I use the trailer with a 1025r and have had to repair the drawbar several times. Why? Because when using it to move gravel or road base it doesn’t tip its contents out fully and ends up stuck in the tipped position. With a tractor one becomes tempted to use the drawbar as a lever with the tractor bucket to level the trailer so it can be reattached to the tractor. It turns out its easy to bend the 3mm C channel where the bolt goes through. Reinforced it with some flat bar and it failed next to the repair. I have done this not only with the bucket but also while cresting hills with a full load. It isn’t a bad trailer but for a subcompact tractor it feels under engineered. A 5 mm square tube with a welded nut in the hole would probably have avoided many failures of this type from people that like to push their equipment.

The cart from Ohio Steel is not only less expensive, but better built, better tongue, better dump latch, but it's not John Deere green. I am putting some E-GO decals on the side to match my mower though, and potentially building a fence to extend the walls, since this has the same slots as the Deere.

Looks great! Question: the exact same cart made by Brinly but with different tires and in black is $100 cheaper than the Deere model. I noticed the Deere has more aggressive tread on the tires and the cool John Deere paint scheme. In your experience with this, are the Deere tires worth paying the extra $100? Thank you!
@CraftedChannel4 жыл бұрын
How many years will it take to wear them out? Meanwhile you get to use the $100. Besides, do 2 new tires cost $100? I knew about the other one but the price I paid for this one was even less. It could have been a blem or second, I don't know.

You had difficulty emptying the cart? I have a similar shaped cart. When you tip the cart to empty it, back up. Yes, back the tractor up and it will allow the cart to "stand up" and empty the cart. The dirt or fire wood will keep the cart in place. The bed of the cart will be perpendicular to the ground. If necessary, use your shovel to scrape the rest out. I've been doing this with mine for15 years. It won't damage the cart or the tractor. Just pay attention when you do it.
@CraftedChannel6 жыл бұрын
Great tip!
