I know this video is 2 years old but it still applies to my 2038R. I raised my hydraulic pressure from 2500 to 3000 at 2000 RPM. I am thankful that you gave the correct size for the hex key and the wrench needed to adjust the pressure (9:15). It allowed me to get all the tools ready so I could streamline the process. Using a wrench and getting it to rest against something made it a lot easier to turn the hex screw (10:59). Once again, thank you!!!

Looking forward to doing this on my tractor next week

Very excited for the new products! Don't forget to mention that larger cylinders will fill slower than stock unless the flow upgrades have been installed.

Good point. Have you installed any of their products? I’m getting ready to🤫🤫🤫

@RockhillfarmYT absolutely, and I recommend it. Kevin's stuff makes these tractor function the way they should've left the factory in the first place.

Question would changing to the larger cylinders on the 3e series address the jerky and frustrating nature of the loader?

Great info. Perhaps that pump for 3E is in my future. Thanks

Very Helpful video-thanks! But where in the heck can i get a pressure gauge into the circuit on a 3038E all hard plumbed and no QC fittings?🤫
@HydrosPlus Жыл бұрын
There is a QC fitting behind the right tire to check the pressure.
@albeenog2432 Жыл бұрын
@@HydrosPlus Well- even though i had never seen any there u did get my hopes up! But alas- none to be found. This is a 2017 model- maybe they started doing that on newer ones? "behind the right tire" - I am assuming that would put it right in same area as the pressure relief valve? Checked behind the other tire also just in case we were facing different directions when locating the 'right tire' 😎 Gonna keep on trying to figure this out before taking to the dealer if i can. And thx for the response!

How much of an increase do you supposed doing this adjustment gives?
@HydrosPlus Жыл бұрын
I haven't done any tests based on pressure alone, but with the HydrosPlus Scale+, it's close to 1psi per pound...so 100psi would give you 75 to 100lbs at low heights and less as you go up.

I bummed mine up to 3500 whoops lol. Can’t wait for the cylinders! Use a stubby wrench and then a pry bar to pry the wrench to Loosen the lock nut.

Is there an o ring on the adjustment valve.
@HydrosPlus9 ай бұрын
I think there is one on the cartridge, but not on the adjustment and jamm nut.

Would this help the 3 point? Got a no till drill that’s like 50 pounds overweight that I need to help to pick it up.
@HydrosPlus7 ай бұрын
yes - if you only need 50lbs, a small increase in pressure will get you up in the air.

Excellent video. Thanks!!! You have a new subscriber here!! Does this increase the lifting capacity of the front loader? (Assuming a proper ballast is on the tractor) I did see your other video about replacing the pump too, would I have to replace the pump to gain capacity or is just turning this up going to give a little more?
@HydrosPlus2 жыл бұрын
yes, increasing the pressure will increase the lifting capacity of the loader and the capacity of any hydraulic implements you attach. You do not need a HydrosPlus Flow Solution to do this; it can be done at any time. As mentioned in the video, if you want to increase your capacity with the new cylinders that are coming later this spring, a HydrosPlus Flow solution is highly recommended because when you increase the volume of your lift cylinders, the loader will also lose speed. The lift capacity will be increase by ~36%, but the speed will also slow down by about 20%

How high do you crank up the 1 series?
@HydrosPlus2 жыл бұрын
For me personally, 2500. That's because I have the backhoe and the backhoe reliefs are set at about 2500. This gives me more lift capacity, is well under the working pressure of most components, and ensures I get the most out of my backhoe. I will do a video soon on my hypothesis on why the pressure limit of the 1 series is 2100psi.
@peterconlin90022 жыл бұрын
Is this adjustment just for loader relief? Or does it also adjust transmission drive relief?
@HydrosPlus2 жыл бұрын
This adjustment affects everything on the implement circuit - loader, rear SCVs, PB/Backhoe, rockshaft. The PRV for the drive unit is separate because it uses a separate pump and set to a much higher value from the factory. The spec is 4140-5060 PSI

Will this work for a 3025D? 2023.

I can't confirm since I don't have that model tractor. It should have an adjustment, but it's not likely in the same location since the D is a very different tractor.

Is 3000 the highest you should go?
@HydrosPlus Жыл бұрын
Yes/No/It depends ;) I think the spec is 210 bar, which is technically 3040psi. Generally speaking, 3000psi is a good safe place to be for medium pressure hydraulics. This is what you see most equipment, including construction equipment working at. Some will be at 3500psi, but most are spec'd right around 3000psi.

Do you run into any warranty issues with upgrades?
@HydrosPlus2 жыл бұрын
I have not heard of any warranty issues associated wth HydrosPlus. The solution itself only changes flow and not pressure, so there is no chance it can damage components of the tractor. That said, any change to your tractor, whether that is an LED light bar, loaded tires, or aftermarket oil filter has the chance to affect your warranty. I should note, no changes you make can "void" your warranty, but if it's found to affect a warranty claim, then they may not pay. From everything I have read, JD does the right then when something breaks - actually more than the right thing. More stories about things being covered that shouldn't be than stories of things that should be and they didn't cover. Most people don't have a good understanding of what a warranty actually covers, so when something breaks and it's not covered, they are very vocal about it. For any major warranty issue, such as a blown engine or broken PTO shaft, I would recommend removing anything aftermarket from your tractor before sending it in. That way, there is no chance for a dealer to suspect something that you know can't be the cause.
@AaronTurnwald2 жыл бұрын
Does that pressure releif affect the backhoe as well? Or do the 2 on the backhoe have adjustment also? I did the loader one but would like the backhoe stronger also. I see 2 listed on the bh but havnt opened it up yet to see if they are adjustable.
