I wish you would have shown the reel to bedknife contact when you were done backlapping and how it cut paper.

Thanks for posting the fail. My first experience with my 220c was the same way. Stalled it out on first launch. Peeled out on the second. Whipped me around the lawn on my first turn. Felt like I was mowing my lawn with a Great Dane. I'm still not totally comfortable with the walking pace which feels slightly slower than a jog.

Nice!! What’s the max height of cut on this particular model? And do you find it pretty easy to quickly change height of cut?

Did you rinse off the backlap compound after backlapping? Then check the reel to bed knife clearance?

How much did you pay for it? Or rather, what's the ball park market value on these used machines?

It varies and depends on what model. I got mine from a golf course and I paid $1600 which was a good deal as it is in excellent shape. They go for more than that at auctions. You can get a good used John Deere or Greensmaster for anywhere from $900 to $2500 depending on the model and cutting width.

That mower has backslapping built into it, put your drill away man!

Thank you for you comment. I finally got the mower out of winter storage this weekend and I was excited to look into the backslapping. Unfortunately the 220sl doesn’t have backslapping built into it. The 220 E-cut does. The manual for the 220 even shows connecting an external motor for backslapping.
