That’s gotta be the finest front weight bar, tiller, and three point adapter I have ever seen.

I agree, that front weight bar looks great!

@@buildingalegacypa Yeah I forgot that was a VGI purchase as well.

Yep, it's a great thing to know the owner of VGI personally🤣. And also an extra stock set of brackets and second set of hoses....which I may need to utilize. Hope you got home safely buddy.

Nice video. I tried to find a place that would rent a GT sized tiller for my 650 a couple months ago when we did the garden. The only ones I could find were for 50HP tractors. It's hard to justify buying one, as it would be used only a couple times per year. Yours looks like it works very well!
@FloridaDeere2 жыл бұрын
I have that one from Thomas, if you can't tell from his comment😂 and I also have a 48" for the 1023E, but it's largely been a a delayed money maker I suppose. Now that I have the 30", the 48" won't get used that much. If you weren't 2 1/2 hours away, I lend the 48" to you if you needed it. Thanks for watching Luke.

Looks like fun! I like your 1023E too!

Yeah man, I do love me some tilling. The 1023E is definitely for the open field where the 322 can get in and out of places much tighter. Thanks for watching.

There's not a lot I miss about Florida, but that nice sandy soil is one. Yours is nice and black, ours was white sugar sand. Now we have the red Georgia clay to deal with and I will say emphatically that it is a different animal to work with. It puts any tiller to the test. We're originally from Minnesota and you either had nice black sandy loam or rock-ridden clay. My point is, that how these tillers work is really dependent on the soil.
@FloridaDeere2 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, very true, in my soil they hardly get a work out at all. This soil does look good in the video, but it was somewhat moist, it can get a lot more sandy and lighter colored without rain.

I have never used a full hydro tiller, how are they from a pto tiller? Pros, cons ? And indeed you make hard work look easy my friend. Oh, and that I am one of those up northern types, frost line is the depth that water lines are laid underground. That for my area in Wisconsin is 4 and 1/2 feet. I have seen the frost go deeper when there was no snow cover and it had to be a record year of low temps. Have a wonderful day

Holy smokes man 4 and a half feet below surface, that has got to be a nightmare job doing that work. Suddenly I feel a tiny bit better about all the heat I put up with.... not by much, I hate the heat. So hydro versus mechanical. Mechanical seems easier to hook up as basically you attach the PTO shaft to the spline and you're done, that in IMHO is the biggest advantage for the mechanical. The hydros usually involve a more involved bracket and pump set-up, so they are a little more time-consuming on the set-up side. I have used a hydro on a GX345, my 445 and this 322. I think I have only used a mechanical on the 1023E. Really, I don't know major advantages for either in operation. I don't think it's fair to assess a SCUT with a mech and 3 GT's with a hydro and call that fair. One advantage of the hydros on the GT's were that no pricey rear PTO was required, so it is essentially a more affordable set-up. Now guys with hydros will claim they work better. I love both and I just not sure I can commit to one over the other...I guess I should keep both🤣. As always, thanks for watching.

Im setting up my hydro 30 tiller on my 316 with 23hp briggs n stratton repower from small engine warehouse. I dont have a garden and not going to. But in fall i plow and disc moms garden with big tractor and normally field cultivate in spring but im thinking of tilling it plus other odd jobs im thinking for now. I got some of the brakets but i just got a cat 1 3pt im thinking making the arched arms hook to 3pt brackets and using 3pt rockshaft arms to lift
@FloridaDeere9 ай бұрын
Yeah my buddy and me used some parts of another tiller bracket plus the deck solid stock steel pieces from a 4X5 series tractor to make the 3 point attachment bracket. If you want me to send you close up pics, shoot me an email and I will send them. You can find my email in the info part of the KZbin info if you click ">" Thanks for watching.

Does your 322 have power steering?

Yes sir, everything is hydraulic on the 322, lift, tranny, PS and PTO (rear). Thanks for watching.

Can you do a video showing your current deere collection? Seems like you got rid of most of your vintage stuff
@FloridaDeere2 ай бұрын
I might can do that, and you're right I did, or in another way of putting it, I got rid of most of my tractors that didn't run😂. I still have the 1023E of course, as well as the 322, 455 and a 140 and 316. The last two are being sold as soon as I get a chance to finish them up and let them go. And I keep thinking of trying to trade out my 322 for a 332 to keep all my tractors with the same fuel type, just figure that will make things easier, but the opportunity has presented itself. And I will be looking for deals in the future, but a few years ago, I let things get out of controls and as my kids age and do more things, I find myself with less time as well. But in less than 5 years, I'll go from 3 kids at the house to 1, so that may make a difference as well. Thanks for watching.

Nice video..BTW Where did you get those rear tires and what style and brand? Thanks
@FloridaDeere Жыл бұрын
They are Kenda Terra Tracs, really good tires, I have had them on multiple tractors and love them. Front tires are also Kendas, they are 16 X7.5X8's, so one inch wider than the normal tires and look real cool. Now when I look at the regular 16X6.5's, I always think they look too small😂. Thanks for watching.
