Don't normally see those tractors planting. I love the idea of a hydrostatic transmission, but able to afford one. I'm impressed with that setup

The tractor and planter belong to my dad, kind of his retirement purchase I guess. Hydrostatic works really well for mowing hay and on that little planter. He pulls a 3 bottom plow too. It gave some transmission trouble this spring, less than 100 hrs on it. Warranty covered everything though, some factory defect

Thanks Scott, wonder what it would look like if we would’ve had rain in June. It was too dry even for some of the seed to germinate. Appreciate the comment.

Good looking crop despite the weather! I’m pretty interested in getting a similar planter for deer food plots and such and moving away from broadcasting. Great video.

Thanks, it works good. Most of em made like this don’t have fertilizer boxes, but maybe that’s not an issue for your food plots.

Could a 4066r pull a 4 row or is a 2 row its limit? Sorry if its a dumb question

It’s a reasonable question, I think it would pull it pretty good.They have plenty of power. Probably would want ballast in the tires and weights on the front maybe.

How long would it take to plant around 40 acres with 4066r
@rustyoldjunk8 ай бұрын
With a two row like this going 4 mph about 13 hrs according to my math. Not counting time to refill the planter. This 3 acres maybe took me 45 minutes I’d guess. So maybe a couple short days for 40 acres if it was all close together.
