Absolutely hands down a top notch review. Very unbiased as you own both. I have been a Deere guy almost all my entire life. I still have 4 John Deere tractors but now have 3 Kubotas in the shed with them. To the best of my knowledge, they haven't gotten into any fights out there yet.

Also the L6060 has a mid PTO if you want to run a blower on the front.

Im looking for this size tractor for my hobby farm and this really helped me. I had my head set on Kubota but I started thinking about the Deere. I have never had a tractor before so it was nice hearing from someone who runs them all the time things you like and dislike in these 2 tractors.

One way to make jumping easier is welding leads we make a pig tail that hangs off the battery with welding lead quick connection ends we have a set of cables that plug into jump truck and then the other end plugs into the equipment gives you a solid copper connection with out opening the hood of the truck or the engine compartment on the equipment. It’s a quick strong connection.

Great review and channel - sign me up! IF I had one complaint of my GL4060 it would be the lack of front fenders for us US buyers. I live about 400 miles south of you and do a few residential drives in the winter using a backblade and snow pusher. There's a ton of us US operators that would love to have front fenders and have even tried ordering through Canadian dealer(s) with no luck. Keep up the good postings and here's to a heavy snowfall this winter!

Good to hear a good comparison between the 2 models. We bought a 4720 so old model of the 4066r. Hoping it holds it value good was a main reason and for dealer support but unfortunately we are finding out the wait time to get stuff fixed can take 3-4 weeks. Can’t always wait that long so not sure if that’s a good reason to buy green. Will also be looking into kubota for the future.

Lighting is very similar, however the new Kubota Nordic addition is by far much better lighting as they now have introduced an LED lighting kit for your front and rear working lights.

Great review, I would add that a slower tractor is an advantage since it’s a bad idea to drive 32km/hr on most roadways today. Hit a bump in the road at full speed and you can just imagine the damage that could be caused to the tractor. Yes an accumulator helps but my opinion is 25km/hr is a safer speed to be driving at. As for the price difference, 20k more eats up a lot more capital up front. With the interest you will be paying on the JD, I think when it comes to resale down the road you may just be ahead with the Kubota. My conclusion is that Kubota L6060 when designed with a snow package, is a better deal then the JD.

Tried them both and ultimately think speed is a big difference that offsets many if not all of the negatives. We maybe had a kubota l6060 but found it didnt have the same power as 4066r we had zero starting issues with any of the 4066rs this is 24 storms many days below negative 25. The price is crazy stupid for either of these toy tractors... the fuel tank size is an embarassment. We liked the john deer blower controls over the dinky kubota chop sticks... the kubota felt like your in a aluminum light popcan felt like 50hp 4066r felt heavier with more umph... if john deer creates a hi low fast shifter and a bigger fuel tank that would be game over over for the l6060 also if john deer makes a proper 5 series IVT that goes 40km a hour same thing game over.... for now the snow industry doesnt really have any proper tractors to choose from its either 175,000$ massive 100hp 6 series that take lots of training to drive or 60hp 75,000$ toy tractors that need to be flipped every 3 years 1000 hours losing 30k in sale price that dont give the same 5000 hour 20 year pay back a real tractor provides... lots of people are sticking to pre def 100hp tractors waiting on the real tractor revolution of a 5 series ivt before we go out and buy 15 new machines. Its hard to rationally invest in machines that go 25km a hr 80 inch blower that have so many flaws at a crazy price point. Please John deere 5 series IVT 40km trans DO IT NOW, ill order 15. There are more pros to the 4066r then just speed the rear end is way more beefy and 1 more con... the fuel tank fill up area on 4066r sucks the l6060 is much easier to fill at waste level. 25km a hour is basically a no starter for many ppl looking at these machines.

It sounds like to me in your industry you might want to go full Kubota. I'm personally just comparing the two for my land in Georgia. Definitely not snow climate but 20 years down the road I might have a few of the problems you've mentioned on the JD. Appreciate your time for making the video. I'm most likely going to purchase Kubota. Also Kubota has metal hoods/fenders, and makes their own engine, transmission, etc. Thanks

I started with a used kubota 3940. Loved all the features that it had but it became unreliable due to the age and wear and tear. Bought a new 3046r. And immediately noticed things you mentioned. Before delivery I sat in it and had them heat and bend the controls No Bluetooth radio feature on radio. By the way this is 2020 model. Should be included . Got it home and sat in it and looked out back window. The wiper was completely undersized and would only do about a quarter of the viewing area needed for snow removal. They came and replaced under warranty. The weather stripping on back window fell off in month 1. After never opening it. The blinkers are in a terrible location and hard to reach behind the throttle. That being said. I will be going to a kubota next season Financing ,cab size, dealer location, cold starts , and I know you said that you didn’t use the high low feature on the kubota. I miss it drastically on the lower hp tractor. I can’t blow snow with the John Deere without shifting to b gear. With kubota just flip the lever and can do all of that on approach and exit of driveway John Deere gained a customer based on brand and reputation. They lost a customer on quality and gouging for basic things that should be common sense for manufacturing

Leaning towards the Kubota tractor sofar. One thing i liked with the JD was when backing up you just take your foot off the peddle and you can control how fast you will stop. When stopping with the kubota you have to use the brake to stop when baking up? Thanks for all you videos on the two tractors.
@Stefano_Narducci
@Stefano_Narducci Жыл бұрын
I have never ever used the brake when backing up that is not true, you simply let your foot off the pedal and the tractor stops on a dime. Some of my older kubotas roll a little bit but not enough to have you hit the brakes. The new ones stop right away, however another way of being more cautious is you can always flick the tractor into turtle mode and that helps you stop even better, lot more control over the macine that way. You would be making a mistake buying a 4066R i promise! Get yourself a L6060 Nordix addition!

You forget to mention that the Kubota L6060 often breaks in half while doing snow removal and you end up with the hood going throught the windhsheild, and a 10 000$ - 15 000 repair bill. Overall the L6060 Is garbage that you can work, if you have enough time to repair all of the flaws. Basically, it nice, and comfy, but will 100% break down almost all of the time. The john deere is not as comfy, but will keep blowing snow ., The Kubota 3 point hitch has had the same flaws for the last 15 years ,, and they cant be bothered to fix the, .. as a whole, the 6060 is the Chevrolet cavalier, of tractors, poorly assembled, poorly engineered, cheap, but you see them everywhere, and everyone thinks they are good, # Kubuta L 6060 are junk
