John Deere 520 & 730 Diesel Turning Ground | Two-Cylinders Still Earning Their Keep

Plowing ground to plant alfalfa using a 1958 John Deere 520 and 1960 John Deere 730 Diesel. The two-bottom plow is a John Deere 44H with 16-inch bottoms, and the three-bottom is a John Deere F630 with 16-inch bottoms.

My dad and used to do a lot of plowing with both a 520 and a 730. We always used rollover plows. My boys have the tractors now as I already had a 520 and a 720 when my dad passed. Your field turned out really great and brought back a lot of memories. I have some videos of my tractors on my channel if you’re interested in seeing them. 🇺🇸

Nice 730 looks good with all the weights Mabe alittle too much plow for the 520 but you’re doing great with you got. That’s tough ground to roll over

I just got my 520 out a couple of days ago with the JD #5 Caster Wheel Power Mower and did a little mowing. Always fun to be able to use the old iron.
