john deere 6300 transmission repair.

input shaft broke, we have no reason to think anything is wrong in the tranny but had to check things out. looks like we pop a new input shaft in and should be up and running again.

Do you mean a trick to set them? John Deere Transmissions usually have a very good detent. I usually put the shift arm on the transmission all the way to one way in that first detent and then put the shift lever in the corresponding spot then you simply shorten or lengthen the cable to make it line up very nicely

If you old cable is still in one piece I laid on the bench next to the new one and get it fairly close

One the end broke but the other one I will do that I was going to replace both while got the floor up and panels off

@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 does not matter what range. It pops out of 3 rd every time you let off the clutch. I don't think that the de-tint is allowing it to stay in third. My main question os do i pull the trans or both TRANS
