John Deere 648G Grapple Skidder part 2

I like the idea of a winch on a grapple skidder, for reasons like you suggested and also getting yourself or others out of a bad spot... seems like a complete skidding system, having a winch incorporated into a grapple skidder...

Dad and I had an Esco swing grapple TJ and a 540 JD line at the same time ,and I would never choose go go back to line skidding after grappling.Grapple skidder is operating,line skidder is laboring.

I've got say I like the idea of a grapple skidder. But only having only run one with cable I liked being able to drop the turn and run ahead when you are just spinning your wheels. That said your L&I is cheaper if an operator doesn't have to get out and wrestle chokers. I'm torn on which I would prefer. I need to run a grapple to see, or one rigged with both.

Nice skidder but no winch i think the combination cant be beat the winch and grapple together makes them a wood hauling machine no matter what type cat, john deere, tiger cat
