JOHN DEERE 8RX 370 + 9RX 620 | Ploughing hard in California!

Proprio così, questa volta per soddisfare le esigenze dei nostri Follower ci siamo spinti fino alla California!
Questo è il nome di una ridente località della bassa pianura vicentina posta fra i comuni di Noventa Vicentina e quello di Pojana Maggiore; un piccolo lembo di territorio veneto posto fra le provincie di Padova, Vicenza e Verona che deve probabilmente il proprio nome alle caratteristiche dei terreni che lo compongono, spesso argillosi o argillo-limosi molto pesanti.
Anche i mezzi presenti nel video hanno poco da invidiare a quelli tipici dell'areale d'oltreoceano.
L'accoppiata made in John Deere è vestita di tutto punto di 8 cingoli che scaricano a terra la bellezza di 1027CV complessivi, 407 emanati dal "più piccolo" 9 litri dell'8RX 370 e 620 dal mastodontico 15L Cummins con cui è allestito il 9RX 620.
I due trattori sono al lavoro rispettivamente con un pentavomere ed un eptavomere fuorisolco semiportati ER.MO. SPEV.
Non vi annoiamo con troppi tecnicismi che sono facilmente reperibili online e ringraziando Mattia e Damiano, i trattoristi super coordinati che ammirerete al lavoro nel video, vi auguriamo una buona visione!

That's certainly not in the state of California, where I live. In the US, farmers have stopped using plows a long, long time ago. Only in Italy you'd waste fuel like that for for plowing

You are right, that is not California, but Ploughs most certainly are still used in USA. Mouldboard Ploughs are not suitable for some types of soil, especially lighter soils, such as that found in large parts of California. Heavy, rich soils such as these in Italy have been mouldboard ploughed like this for at least 2000 years and I see no signs of soil degradation or reduction is harvest volume. I am sure if there was a cheaper, more efficient way to till they would use it. These farmers are not idiots and I am sure they don’t spend a lot of time making KZbin comments about things they know little.

@@tutekohe1361 Thanks for helping making my point. Moldboard plows were invented in the 19th century (by John Deere who doesn't sell much of their 995, not updated in 2 decades), not 2000 years ago. The reasoning 'it was good enough techniques since the Roman times' is kind of silly if you really think about all the things human have invented since, and really the kind of reasoning that is one of the problem in agriculture. And that this video and your comment is emblematic about: 'same old techniques, just bigger tractors'. And yes, plowing increase erosion that leads to in average 10 to 20 tons of loss of soil per year per hectares. There has been many civilizations lost due to soil degradation due to heavy tillage. Heavy clay soils are actually best dealt with cover crops and no-till. Farmers indeed are not more stupid than anyone else, but they are not smarter either nor immune to do things wrong for the same reasons. I've seen loads of huge mistakes done by many of them, mainly due to being so conservative in their techniques (sometime that the grand father is still around dictating what and how it should be done). And no, plows are pretty much not used in the US anymore, and mostly by old farmers. Tillage, when done is done with chisels typically which leaves more residues on top for better erosion control and does not turn over the ground. My comment about Italy wasn't mean to be mocking, but it's a fact that Italian farmers loves deep plowing, and are some of the least advanced in conservation agriculture
