That steer you're showing reminds me of the first steer I showed in our local 4-H club up here in north central Alberta way back in the 60s. My Hereford was the same shade of red and had similar markings around his head.

What an amazing opportunity! Thanks for the video! Also, construction equipment can be super handy on farms, too. We bought a small excavator a few years ago, and it's amazing how many possibilities it's opened up for us. Whether it's an old concrete foundation in the barnyard, or a rock pile in the middle of a field, or a washout, or anything that we've worked around for years because we didn't have the tools to clean it up; well, now we can. We didn't have any prior experience with excavators, either, but we just started doing jobs with it and learning as we went along.

You look good in the practice ring with the steer. You look very professional Zoe. With your level of attention to detail, I believe you’ll do well. I personally have never shown livestock myself , but I had several friends in FFA in high school who who did. And unfortunately, like our farm, which is a large industrial park now their farms are housing tracks and industrial parks as well over in South Jersey. but I know I believe you do a great job and make everyone especially your dad. Very proud.

Thanks for the tour of John Deere My question is Do u have operation budget for expenses for crops And funds set aside for Equipment breakdowns and failures Or Do ur profits is based on what is left Thanks
@farmwithzoekent7 ай бұрын
I do keep tract of cost of production! Not necessarily a hard and fast budget, because I’ve already blown threw my repair budget for the year 😅
@farmwithzoekent7 ай бұрын
And basically if there is a profit it just gets reinvested, I pay myself a salary that I also put a majority back into my operating loan

When you are worried about not getting every thing tight, carry a marker/paint pen, and mark the bolts/nuts as you tighten them. Then you or someone else can see if you missed any.

Technology is cool, until it breaks. Or when JD decides to raise their prices for their service. Also who owns the data they collect, the farmer or JD?

Did you also learn that they are outsourcing American jobs to Mexico? Start supporting American workers like farmers want American voters to support them!
