get yourself a 2x4. you can leverage the implement for fine adjustments and a boot gets the the arm on the pin. i have to park my implements on uneven ground most of the time. It takes about five minutes to switch implements.
@datalox6958

No need for a 2x4 or crowbar or boot if you use another well-known brand of central US-made separate (non-box-frame) hitches. I use & sell them as well in Australia.

The locking levers can be left down and when raised the attachment will snap onto the Imax and be locked into it. Only have to raise the levers to remove attachments.

What do you expect from a dude selling the product. He had the tractor perfectly lined up with the iMatch at the correct height for the blade. This "convenient" interface is my greatest pain. I still haven't figured out how to hook up to the one share plow PB1001
@WesternEquipment
@WesternEquipment 4 жыл бұрын
Here is a not directly from John Deere. "NOTE: Due to the lower lift pins being mounted at different heights to allow the plow to run level in the field the PB1001 and PB1002 are not iMatch™ compatible." Looks like it must be attached manually.

Will it line up right with other brand implements if they are American made ( standard measurement)?? I know the cheap China hitch don’t like American Standard implements and don’t line up right. My stuff is all American made

These comments are making me feel bad. I've been bushogging my place for about three years now and I dread hooking it up everytime as it takes a solid ten minutes and constant on and off the tractor. I know part of the problem is the attachment gets parked on wood blocks on a small uneven terrain, but still

Got an imatch quick hitch for $150 last night. Needed it so bad. You can’t move a MX6 around like that. I also dreaded changing impliments and Mississippi heat makes you almost pass out before you get it done. These are worth every penny.

There were no bushings on the third implement, not advised, they will jump out! Also the levers can be left down when hooking up, the bottom latches will push against the bushings and snap back when in position. This guy is not an operator, had trouble backing into the implements and was on and off the tractor too much. A good operator would do it better, having said that, the I match is very useful when you have a lot of different 3 point hitch implements to use throughout the seasons. Mine cost $250 Canadian 13 years ago and every implement has it's own bushings and pins now and I'm like a kid in a sandbox playing with my toys, oops, I mean getting a lot of serious jobs done around the acreage.

@datalox6958

Box frame hitches are ONLY good if your implements ALL have the same lower arm spacing. Not everyone has implements brand-matched to their tractor. Separate hitches are much more flexible for horizontal spacing and don't have to line up vertically. . In your demo without the hitch you should try hooking up the left arm first, then the toplink second (as shown). Then use the toplink by turning it in or out to move the implement right-hand pin to the ball instead of struggling like you did.

He's trying to sell a quick hitch, so he has to make it look hard. The top-link is the easiest part and he's pretending it's hard. Sometimes, just need a BFH to convince it to go in.

Yes, when the arm is that close, I use my foot to push it on or maybe a hammer. Apparently, John Deere tractors have gotten fragile compared to the ones in my day.

while I agree with most of the comments below, I found a quick hitch from Titan for $127, worth the money. Now while it doesn't take me nearly as long as this guy to hook up 3 point attachments, it takes longer than the quick hitch for sure. Plus the hitch adds more weight which is generally good. But for $300+, I'd pass on the iMatch too, not worth that much

Where are the bushings for the lower links? The implement will stay on without them, but there will be a lot of wear, and it will be somewhat loose. Kubota makes a quick hitch with 7/8" openings on the lower hooks so you don't need bushings.

That 3-point hitch can be done by one person easily. That was not a true reenactment. I have worked with 3 point hitch all my life. First, when I was a kid on a daily basis. Now as a hobby, occasionally hooking up implements.
@WesternEquipment
@WesternEquipment 5 жыл бұрын
I agree! It can be done by one person. But as you would know, it is not always done so easily. This instance inparticular, was more challenging than normal due to the fact that the rotary cutter had sunken down into the soft grass we were on making it very difficult for one person to handle. But keep in mind this video was mainly meant to show the ease of use of the John Deere iMatch Quick Hitch. Thank you for watching!
