I am about to test an oil pump to drain out old oil… ty for letting me know there is a drain hose. Will serve as my plan B.
@brianquinn1854 Жыл бұрын
Do you think it would be ok to replace the drain hose with a longer hose to aid in draining the oil? Thanks for the great video. It kept me straight.
@78929510 ай бұрын
If you are like me and have the optional rear bumper on the mower, then after draining oil, stand the mower up on the bumper. It will stand there and is much easier to do your below the deck stuff. When you are finished lower it down and put the two quarts of oil in it. My mower doesn't collect nearly as much grass beneath it as in this video. I use the wash function after each mowing and before storage. Saves a lot of scraping and corrosion. I also use the JD high lift blades that move a lot more air and throw the clippings further. :)

I have a question I have the same Jonh Deere but one of the turning levers got harder than the other she turns well, she responds well when I turn it with the one that she is harder. I have the Z540M with the Kawasaki engine. The oil hose is shorter with a opening directly below it. Blocking behind your rear wheels for safety The chair lift doesnot look safe. A chain hoist would be a good for safety. Engine oil /filter,air cleaner needs to be changed every 50 hts. Sparks plugs, fuel filter, tracking every 100 hrs. Every 200hrs valve checkrĝ

I strongly urge anyone with a multiblade deck to remove it from the tractor when servicing the mower. It takes a little extra time but it gives you a chance to fully inspect the components and deck structure for hairline cracks, rust spots, and lets you see how the welds are holding up. A lot more mowers are junked due to rusted out decks than blown up engines.
