I've heard you comment on the non serviceable aspect of the Gravely you previously had a couple years ago. It appears the 2023 Gravely ZT X has a new serviceable Hydro Gear transaxle that is serviceable. It's going for around $4200-$4500..does that seem like a decent buy for a $4500 budget? Looks like they've upgraded a few of the things you've disliked about your older model you previously had. Thanks man.

Yes. Im not against the hydros you can not service just found the ones I had to be fairly poor.

I like the mower EXCEPT for the seat suspension. Worst I have ever riden. Beats the hell out of my back. The glide lever is worthless for suspention.

I just purchased a Z530R-60" yesterday. Mowed my 4 acres in record time. It is a very smooth and powerful machine.

Had a cheaper gravely and it was junk after two years. Wanted something that would hold its value and last forever. Paid cash.

Great video! I have a problem…the pin that determines the height of the deck won’t change the height. Is there a metal piece in between the holes?

No clue. Mine works fine. Assume you’re paying the little yellow thing down once you drop the deck?

@@ObserveJeremiah yeah it kept dropping and wouldn’t come back up..basically hanging up. I still have warranty so I think we have it working. Thanks for replying!

Z530R 60”, has 50 hrs. (Lawn is 3.5 acres ) Total junk. Been in shop twice. Replaced spindles (covered under warranty) 2nd time fuel vacuum line issue. Cup holders not easily reached. Got mine from box store (home depot) warranty and service issues not covered by John Deere unless you fight like hell. Be sure to COMPLETELY read over ALL own service maintenance instructions. Transmission fill containers VERY difficult to read. Parts are WAY over priced. Deck belt replacement is $96 for one belt plus labor. I will NEVER buy another John Deere.

Mine has close to 25 hours now and it’s been flawless. I bought directly from John Deere though. Parts are pretty cheap if you get the OEM ones from Lowe’s.

I just got one today from my local John Deere dealership. I refuse to buy something like this from HD or Lowes. Sorry you had issues.

My last two (2016 and traded to 2018) Z530M have a black foamy piece that goes over the air filter, yellow 48" deck, and different leveling system. They sure have gone up in price. I have two acres to mow. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you.

Agree if yard size is large enough. Good overall mower still for the price.
