If you ever make it down the coast, I will come out and see y'all. I know playing in Houston can suck, especially with the loss of some great venues, but you have fans here. If Yanni could fill out multiple concerts at successively larger venues, you can draw enough to be worth a day-trip and hotel room.

John wasn't the Jolly Feller your making him out to be all the time. He had a really hot and violent side at times. Rage fits are probably more accurate a description. His label dropped him, his marriage with Annie was a disaster and she paid dearly for that. Entertaining he was, but also a SOB too.

I imagine it's because the, ah, enunciation is so much clearer, and the kind of slower pacing of it makes you actually *hear* and process the lyrics a lot more easily. Not to knock War Pigs, but I can honestly say the first time I heard it I could not understand what it was about other than "this is a heavy metal song that refers to common metal concepts like war and stuff" just because I wasn't hearing all the lyrics clearly.

Interesting how this actually artistically works as the objection of a rural man rejecting the latest military-industrial complex war instead desiring to return to their country home. It is actually a surprisingly synergistic fusion.

Huh? Black sabbath nor ozzy would be considered thrash metal. Certainly not death metal as the other comment states. They would be considered Rock realistically. They can be considered a pioneer of heavy metal. They also could be considered the progenitor of doom metal. Thrash is much faster and is influenced by punk
