Just wanna leave this here: knowing TY for close to 8 years now, and seeing him practice at every waking hour of the day as my roommate at Juilliard back in 2016, watching him perform has been one of the most touching and cathartic experiences of my life. This man embodies the depths and the musical understandings of an 80yr old soul, and beautifully combines who he truly is into this performance. Something I continue to work on till this day. Love you man. #notpaid #notsponsored

Beautiful tribute, JB would be grateful! Having read many encouraging comments from you to other guitarists on KZbin speaks a lot of you as a person. As a guitarist, nothing short of fantastic!

Hi there. This performance was brilliant. As I'm sure you know (traditionally) lute music is read with tablature. Have you ever tried reading this directly onto the classical guitar? A hobby of mine is to tune down my G to a F#, and then to try to sight read random lute music that is free online. One thing I noticed is that your phrasing is really "conversational" (I sound that I really do admire, but that I can't play at the same level). Do you plan this out when learning a piece, or is this something that comes with practice?
