The interviewer shows great depth and kindness- that’s a talent that is increasingly rare. She wants Edward to succeed in his interview with her which a classy thing to do. I know it’s been a few years since this posting but she clearly has a fantastic future in the field . Perhaps John Edward can tell her more about that future !

Well, it helps that your interviewer has an open mind about it all and that she is a fan of his and has done her research prior to her interview with John, she( fern) was a sweetheart and she didn't interrupt him while he was talking. I find in life that you learn so much when you actually listen and not interrupt or talk over people.

BEST INTERVIEWER EVER. Really, what a beautiful job ... because this woman brought HERSELF, 100%, but DID NOT GET IN THE WAY. She knew her stuff, didn't ask asinine questions (Oh, God, SO MANY interviewers ask the stupidest, most basic questions, no but REALLY; the lowest common denominator sorts of questions) ... she showed warmth and intelligence and I was so happy listening. "Brava!" John Edward, as always, strikes the PERFECT balance.

I've seen so many interviews of John Edward and this one is far more informative and interesting - covering ground that all the others failed to get at. Learned so, so much new information about John. Well done! And this has nothing to do with my being a descendant of Long Island Italian Catholics. ;)

a few years ago I was watching Larry king and john Edward was doing a phone reading. I realized the reading was exactly the situation I was in. I had just lost my son and at the same time a neighbor was murdered. my son and the victim worked in the same place but did not know each other. john Edward picked this up exactly with more exact detail. the person on the phone did not know what john was talking about. the situation I was in was so complex yet here was john relating it. I knew john was authentic.

Fern Ronay, this was one of the best interviews of anyone that I have ever heard. It was a CONVERSATION. (I hate when an interview asks a great question, they interviewee gives a great answer and then it's not discussed. The interviewer moves on to another subject as if the answer was meaningless. Discuss! Go into it! Get more out of it! yeeesh!) Seriously, it was lighter than Charlie Rose interviews, but I honestly think just as well donel. Thank you.

There was little continuity or connection so this conversation was so welcome a contrast. It was interesting & enlightening!

My dearly loved late Mother told me a very long time ago, that we don't grieve for the one we loved who has died, we grieve for ourself, because we cannot see them here on this earth anymore. We will see them again, when we cross over to the other side. Since we normally don't know when that will happen, we continue to grieve at different levels of grief, for the rest of our life.

Awesome interview... I so closely identify with much of Johns experiences with faith and family ... lmao and "just knowing stuff you shouldn't know" ... I was deamed evil my entire life and unfortunately I was too scared of going to hell most of my life to ever explore this side of me.. if was very frowned upon and still is but since my mother past away I now have her blessing... LMAO.. the one thing I wish I could ask John and i know one day I will is.... how does he respond to people who don't believe and basically call you fake and a liar.. it hurts me to my core to hear these things and I know it's mostly because I am an empath and I'm picking up how they really "wish it was real" for their own needs and desires but because its not tangible they don't.. I pick up that desperation from them but also know if I say anything to that effect they'll "deny and reply" with hurtful hateful words... I just don't know how to respond to those people in an effective manner.. not that I desire to "change their minds" but rather say something to truly heal their pain.. I mean truly heal their pain. FANTASTIC INTERVIEW and thank you for posting it where I would find it..

I know what you mean about looking back at astrology to verify the truth of what it was presaging. I used to work in a bank that was in the middle of a mall -- I couldn't see outside. Some days I'd have lots of customers coming in cranky, looking to pick a fight. It was so universal that I thought the weather outside must be miserable, but when I went out, the sun would be shining. Other days, customers would come in so upbeat that I wondered what they had been drinking in their tea. But weather seemed to have nothing to do with it. Years later, I started following astrology and found that while individual signs were not very accurate (now I understand why -- it's too complex to be accurate in general), but that the general/all signs readings were great predictors of the mood of the populace. It's easier to see it after observing human behaviour and validating it that way.

Great interview. It's really nice to hear a lot of the personal stories from John. Although, I was a little surprised by a bit of the negative spin on the Tarot at the end. There was a bit of a statement about the Tarot only being about telling someone's future, and about not wanting to know what the future holds, because "life lessons" won't be learned. My experience of the Tarot are exactly the same as a regular reading, it just offers the information in a different way. As John would say, a different language is used to convey a message. It's not about telling the future, it's about helping a person look at an issue they are having in their life, and once they have more information, they can make an informed decision as to how they would like to move forward. So anyways, I don't think it was the intent to compare the Tarot to something like a Ouija (because they are very different), but I would like to state that the Tarot is a tool that holds it's own, it has a respectable place for healing and it should not be put below the kind of work other people do. Additionally, when I started out doing readings, I didn't use any tools and it wasn't until I read one John's books, that he suggested everyone has a tool (I can't remember the name of the book at this moment). I thought to myself, why would I want to use a tool when I don't require one, it seems silly. But I followed John's advice and I found that sometimes different tools can be used, not for the psychic or medium, but for the person asking questions. If a person cannot wrap their head around what a psychic or medium can do, then a tool like the Tarot can create a space where they feel comfortable and even though they don't know how it works, they understand that "Ok, I look at the card, and he/she is going to tell me something special." Again, the Tarot and other tools serve their purpose. One last praise, great interview, thanks for the hard work!!! Love it!

Exactly. Build your own posative and negative symbols. The repetitive number you keep seeing tell them in a prayer to show you that for negative. If you start with just a negative symbol thats the best. They can now warn you and or alert you to something if a very bad sitiation is about to happen. If you see you number then take it as you should reasses what you are doing.

Your amazing JOHN, I would loving nothing more than a reading from you one day....but I live in Australia 😥 You have such an amazing honest true connection, to be as gifted as you would be such a humbling experience...and now two gifted children, they are certainly blessed ..... there are many fakes out there and I have been caught by one before... insisting he was this fantastic medium, and people singing his praises, so I took a plunge and requested a Skype reading. When I said I wanted to connect with people who had passed, he said “Oh NO !!!!!! I take that VERY seriously and to be able to do that I would need several hours ....this is just an hour, as I watched him looking at my Facebook page while he “read” me the Skype was playing up he had no idea that I was watching him look through my fb account! If anyone gave him a bad review he would get very nasty and abusive of the person that they didn’t know what they were talking bout ..... ! He was such a scammer !!! I felt that someone higher was showing me what a fake he was trying to read me from my fb page, mediums are usually people who connect with people who have passed, apparently that’s not what this guy seemed to think a Medium is! So glad there are true and honest people out there like you....I will just hope and pray that some day our paths can cross so I can get a reading from you, your my number one fan !! 💙💙💙👏👏

John, have you watched the tv series "Psychic Kids"? What you're talking about regarding tv "reality" shows on psychic phenomenon, I agree with -- a lot of it is just a show, a circus, not real, not true -- at least not with the best interests of the subjects in mind. With "Psychic Kids", I felt that a) it was a bit of a feel-good thing for the host, and that much of what the kids said sounded scripted, and b) it was great if/that the kids felt better and safer after their interaction with other kids with similar abilities and with the adult mediums. What's your opinion? And, how can kids with these abilities be best helped? I have had some amazing experiences, have been told I have some talent, but am not in any way gifted. I do want to continue to explore my intuitive ability, have used it in the past to help(?) -- crime prevention mostly -- and would like to do more to be of service in some way. I love your integrity and hope that my intentions are also true.

The interviewer should be impartial and she seems to be so smitten by john Edwards. Let Mr randy interview him. Come on now there's no scientific proof that anyone on this planet has any such abilities. Although I have a very open mind I feel that people need to face reality and realise that no one can talk to the dead. It's not possible logically. Why not help the police catch murderers or find missing dead people if you have the abilities. Answer that. Put your talents out there to help without money. That's a true ability. Interviews should always sit on the fence and not side with the person being interviewed. James Randy has a large cash sum for a test to confirm real abilities and no one has claimed it. That proves a point. Come on people wake up.

Why has his intro into this changed? Every interview I have heard is the fact he wanted to debunk the psychic his mother had to her house, not the added info of the psychic wanting him to be there, he apparently from the beginning thought she as to what she was telling him. Psychometry is not essentially taking a person,s energy, but actually impressions of anyone who has held an object for a considerable length of time. . She should have known that he was a sceptic yes! Omg he did not know he has protesters, that is being naive in the extreme. ,He,s been doing this for years and no idea ,give me a break. It is right to protest the. false yes of course, did it not occur to him that a lot of people regard as a fake.. There are those who are mediumistic and have a knowledge of how the proceeds mediumship works. as they watch him work know that he is not receiving Spirit Communication but picking up impressions at best from the auric field or at worst. Cold reading. Please watch or go to see how other Mediums work. But I must say if all they do is ask questions within statements then they are very unlikely to be a medium. A Medium. should be able to give personalities, characters and idiosyncrasies of your loved one. Read the earlier book Mediumship investigation. Ironically do what he says and educate yourself about the process and you will not be fooled. as to the veracity of. genuine mediumship.

Not so much.
