John Emhoolah, Jr., of the Arapaho and Kiowa Tribes of Oklahoma - United States Army Korean war combat veteran, accompanied by his wife Geneva, and family, receives Korean medal from the Consulate of the Republic of Korea on November 28, 2015.
On behalf of South Korean President, Park Geun-hye, Mrs. Jennifer Kim - Chairman of the National Unification Advisory Council and James W. McGibney - Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea in Denver, Colorado, presents John Emhoolah, Jr. with the Korean medal that honors those who have served in the Korean War.
Native nations, your family, and your friends everywhere are extremely PROUD of you, sir! Thank you for your service to our country . . . and to our people!
*Medal ceremony at the Denver Indian Center took place after the Grand Entry of the Wendell Irving Memorial Veterans Day Powwow 11-28-2015.
