Dude you got yourself a lot of work with these three performers. John Farnham- Little River Band, Jimmy Barns- Cold Chisel, Johnny Diesel- Injectors.

I don't know if you did John Farnham were he sings the Beatles' song "Help" it's awesome you gotta listen to it, he sings it with the Melbourne symphony orchestra that's the video you gotta watch not the other 1 🤗

The guitarist is Johny Diesel (Jimmy Barnes' brother-in-law). A superb artist in his own right. Very soulful and highly recommend 'Right on the tip of my tongue'. Been said many times but you MUST check out Jimmy Barnes with Joe Bonamassa singing 'Soul Deep'. THAT will knock your socks off!

Hi. If you like watching John Farnham have a look at him singing = amazing grace with vanetta field 1987. Also = it’s a long way to the top with the Melbourne symphony orchestra. The first time. Also here John and the band doing a sound check warm up doing let zeppelin song = black dog. It is amazing. You may have to find it just on KZbin, not live.

Good one. Two great vocalists and Johnny Diesel too. You might like "Stone Cold" by Jimmy Barnes, either the old video one or the newer one with Joe Bonamassa.

Can’t beat Farnsey and Barnsey as we call them in Australia! Check out John Farnham & Olivia Newton John (Sandy in Grease) singing Please Don’t Ask Me. I think Angie will love it kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKa5kKeQhKmZgZo

You were reflecting on the lyrics, it may be helpful to know that both Farnsey and Barnsey have been in long, committed marriages.

These 2 are Aussie legends. I normally prefer the Iive version particularly John Farnham but on this occasion whilst this version is absolutely stunning I actually prefer the studio version. I have been lucky enough to see them both live many times.

@@anneliespeters5355 if you like full albums then the best was probably "circus animals" or "best if Cold Chisel", but if you like the bluesy stuff then try "soul deep". Good luck 👍

@@RollenGreenRants try "stone cold" if you liked this one, but other iconic songs include "khe sanh", "when the war is over", "flame trees", and "working class man". Even this list is only scratching the surface, so good luck 👍

You two are so adorable, the affection between you - it's really sweet. Anyway, I'm really glad to see you enjoy some of our absolute best - Barnsey and Farnsey! Also Diesel (Johnny Diesel), the main guitarist in this who joined them at the end, is another fantastic Aussie artist that is sometimes overlooked when talking about this performance. He's worth checking out in his own right!

I could sit here and go on about how good Johnny and Jimmy are and what kind of people they are, but as more Australians find your channel there are going to be countless people who will do that 😅
@M.J.802 жыл бұрын
The only I'll say is that 99% of the time their live performances are better to hear what their voices can do. Also some people will tell you Jimmy Barnes is screaming and not singing which isnt true, its just the way he sings. Have fun discovering Australia's singer's, we've got a lot of talent hidden away down here
@M.J.802 жыл бұрын
Also for the female side of things you might want to check out 'Chains' by Tina Arena... 'Absolutely Everybody' or the cover of 'I am Woman' by Vanessa Amorosi... 'Born to try' by Delta Goodrem. Or really anything by them. On a side note be careful of your hearing as these ladies can hit some very high vocal notes 😅

This is my favorite duet of all time! John is my favorite singer of all time! I love the ORIGINAL, REAL Little River Band & the Bee Gees so I must be part Aussie, BUT I also love "Home Free" & hope Aussies will check them out. They're a 100% a cappella band & they're absolutely amazing!😊 With them, you honestly forget they use no instruments, only their incredible voices!😊

John Farnham started his career in the 60's as the King of Pop, known as Johnny Farnham in those days. Jimmy Barnes ended up the King of Rock. I never followed Diesel but he is a great musician and singer. It might interest you with some background history. Both John and Jimmy were born in the UK. Jimmy came to my city, Adelaide. John went to Melbourne at about the age of 10. He was born in 1949 and had a similar history to Olivia Newton John who was born in the UK and went to Melbourne at the age of 3. She was a year older than him having been born in 1948. Liv and John have worked together in Australia from time to time and most of it is on youtube. 'Dare to Dream' is on YT from the opening ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games when John and Liv teamed up. They also were in a show called 'The Main Event' which is on YT with another artist called Anthony Warlow. Anthony was the star of 'Phantom of the Opera' the Australian version. Many good John Farnham videos on youtube. Get hold of the ones with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for the Beatles classic 'Help' and the Aussie anthem almost 'You're the Voice'. Anyway, enjoy.

"BABY".I know what you mean about the expression of this word in a song. What comes to mind for me is the song, "Stay With Me, Baby," sung by Bobby Hadfield of "The Righteous Brothers." It is heart-wrenching! Also, Australian Karise Eden did her fabulous ,torn take on this song, too. There are videos for both on You Tube. Regarding Barnsey and Farnsey and Diesel- isn't it a fantastic performance? I had a quiet chuckle to myself when I saw your jaws drop and mouths stay open. That's what Australian Rock Royalty can do to you!
