John Farnham is the greatest male vocalist of all time. The passion and emotion he puts into every performance is simply epic. Such versatility, and vocal range, he’s just there for the music, the love, his fellow musicians and the fans. It’s amazing to me how many genres John can cover and do it awesomely. From jazz to blues, rock, country, ballads, opera, anything. And I love the instrumentals he brings, especially brass and saxophone in particular. Music today has none of this. He is just an amazing human being.

Hi Debb. Angels - I think that clip is fromthe video of Lisa's induction into the Hall of Fame. If you've never seen it - do look it up, it shows their camaraderie. The edited version is on Free the Rocks channel, and that's the one the reactors use - shame , they miss the fun part. Oct'24. UK. E ❤

Yes this was one of my favourite concerts too. I love the Brassards in this. John has the best musicians. I Remember going home that night I'm telling my daughter I was buying another ticket and going again. I went to all his concerts but not multiple ones of the same tour because I couldn't afford it but I made an exception this time and my daughter bought a ticket as well and came with me. She was blown away !. 😀

Dont think enough is said about the drummer Angus. Can someone clarify has Angus been with John ever since Whispering Jack or before? I've really been enjoying watching John and his band all over again and getting to know John again and his comedy. I just want 5o give him the biggest hug and thank him for his love for his and what he puts into his performances.Thank you to all the reactors and keep posting. He could be a stand up too, quite easily.😅 But his voice THE VOICE is just the greatest, his versatility never ceases to amaze me. He just started singing the country version of Burn for You and I just had to stop and burst out laughing 🤣🤣❤❤

I’m so glad I stumbled across this! When 33 1/3 came out I went out and bought it as soon as I could, but I never really managed to get into it. Watching this, I’ve realised why. I was working crazy hours in a really stressful job, and sharing a house with a couple of really nasty people, so I never felt like I was able to listen to it over and over on my one day off a week. That left listening in the car on the way to and from work, but I needed something I could scream with in the car to get frustration out between my two frustrating locations, and you can’t do that if you don’t know the words so I kept skipping the CD and listening to his older albums. Life is much less frustrating now so maybe I’ll start listening to it and finally learn the words.

Keep on I hope you get to love it more. I adore the album but some music especially if new to a listener asa genre can take time. I note you comment is a year old and am curious if you have listened to it more. I enjoyed the humour of your post and the screaming in the car,...weve all done that. Cheers.

@@triplejazzmusicisall1883 I haven’t yet! It’s still on my to do list. I have hyperacusis and am currently living next to a really noisy teenager (who I refer to as dipsh1t) and an overbarker dog and there’s a new highway that means I hear constant traffic noise. And then there’s the guy across the road with his trucks every day and his Harley on the weekends which he uses to go out, come home, go out, come home, go out, come home, go out, come home all bloody day! Just stay out already! Then there’s screaming matches between another couple across the road and a dog over the back that barks at me every time I feed my chickens. So it’s kinda like my noise bucket is full. When it’s full, I’m even more sensitive to the noises that hurt me. They hurt within a second instead of maybe having 10-15 seconds to get away from it and escaping hours of pain. So I just haven’t dared add anything extra to that lot. However… I have sold my house! I’m outta this hellhole!!! Woo hoo! I’m currently searching for a few acres in the country where I can have peace and quiet and the most I’ll hear from outside is the occasional moo. Settlement here is in April so I’ve got a bit of time yet. I’m sure the right thing will come along in time. I truly believe that once I’ve been out there for a couple of months my noise bucket level will drop to a point where I can play music and enjoy it and not end up with extra pain because of it. Btw, I’m not ONLY moving so I can listen to a John Farnham album 😂 I’ve always loved the idea of living in the country and having a cow for fresh milk and making cheese and growing veg and raising meat etc etc. The whole self sufficient thing. I’ve always thought that would be wonderful, and have already been doing a lot of the individual tasks I’ll need to do out there, just for fun. But it was always an oh wouldn’t that be lovely type dream that I never thought I would actually achieve. And then dipsh1t played music so loud that I could hear it in every room of my house, for 8 hours a day, every single day, for over a year. Plus drunken parties every weekend. And one day, actually Christmas Eve 2019, I happened to look at real estate online and realised that I could afford a few acres out in the country! And suddenly the dream became possible! The lurgy slowed me down as I needed to get some tradies in to do a few things here so I could sell it, but I finally got it all ready earlier this year and got photos taken etc, then sacked that agent and ended up selling it without needing to advertise it! And got a really long settlement so I would have time to find my next place, and if I don’t find it before settlement I can rent here for as long as I need to. So there’s no chance of ending up homeless or needing to do a 2 part move and crash at Mum’s with my dog and 6 chickens. It’ll be easy. So now I just need my next place. Which I will christen with some 33 1/3 😁

@@moniquem783 What an absolutely delightful and amusing post. I really enjoyed the humour and the way you expressed things. You're onto a good thing IMO. Cheers.

@@triplejazzmusicisall1883 well, it’s an either laugh or cry situation and I would much rather laugh! 😂😂 All the stereotype stuff would be wonderful! I hope I get all of that. Although even 80% of it would be wonderful. As long as I have a big kitchen for all the food preservation I’ll be doing, a bedroom I can convert into a larder to store all of that preserved food, and can’t hear my neighbours or constant traffic I will be incredibly happy out there. I’ll essentially be doing the American style homesteading thing, so I thought I might name my place HHH. Happy Hermit Homestead. Because I will be so very happy to be a hermit away from the world!! I might even like my neighbours if I have to drive to see them! 😂😂😂

I feel awful for even THINKING this, but at this age...somehow he kinda looks a little bit like Donald Trump...and to picture that idiot singing and dancing to these songs on stage is rather hysterical...so I cant get too mad at the thOught! 🤣
