I can't believe he is still racing. He is a Titan in the drag racing community. I saw him race as a kid. Once we left the stands to use the restroom and noticed a dragster being loaded into a trailer and a racer was in his autograph tent and there wasn't much of a line so we ran over for an autograph. The driver said a part broke and they were done for the day. The man behind me reached over my shoulder and handed the driver a car part and said "compliments of John." It was a member of John Force's pit crew. The driver didn't even finish signing my picture lol he ran to the trailer and they started fixing the car. Later, that same car raced John and barely lost. Mr. Force simply didn't want to race alone against the clock. Apparently he is known for helping out smaller crews. Great dude.

John was a trucker with a drag racing problem. First time I saw him he was pulling a goose neck trailer with a crew cab dually, prepping the car, and driving. Then Castrol came calling... He built his shop, 2 stories with a gym upstairs. He said "This is what you do when they give you too much money". Years later, a friend of mine was in Cali visiting family, went for a morning walk, saw John's shop and went inside. It was a Monday and no one was around. A guy came around the corner, saw my friend, and said Let me show you around...it was John!

@@MH-bb4fl Ran into him (or he almost ran into me) in Memphis. Friend of mine was Head of Track Event Security, and asked me to help. I was standing with John's crew when he launched in a qualifying run. His chutes didn't open, he went off the end of the track and did a slow roll in the soybean field. He and the car came back on a roll back. The crowd went wild! Later, I was standing in the NHRA Compound. John came around an office trailer and almost knocked me over. He was in his usual oil stained tee shirt and jeans. He said the NHRA wanted to visit with him! Typical John... Then there was the time I was in Topeka for the NHRA races. Friend of mine and I took the last table (a very big table), for lunch, at the little BBQ joint near the track. Don Prudhomme and his crew came in and asked if they could sit with us...He paid!

Heard of that type good neighbor action from John Force all through the years. But to be honest, that happens a lot in NHRA Drag Racing. These people are true competitors, dont know of a single one who likes to win running against an empty lane. You dont hear of that in other forms of Motor Racing.

Just the fact that John didn't seem to be seriously hurt is a credit to the men and women who build those cars! I will freely admit I was wrong. I had seen the footage where he was sitting up on the stretcher in the ambulance 🚑 at that time I didn't think he was seriously hurt I was wrong. John has had some devastating crashes through out his Career and this one rates way up there on the Holy Crap meter. I can only imagine what it was like to be in that car and to endure that destruction. When I saw this crash I was really worried what the outcome might be but was absolutely delighted to see John Moving and Talking. All I can say is this is a tribute to the folks that build this race car and thank them for being true Professionals at their Job. John is a racing Legend and Truly Loves his Job, I think the only thing John Loves more is his Family. We as Fans Love watching him blaze down that Track but I think at 75 yo I would rather see John spend the rest of his Life Loving his Family, his daughters and his Grand kids than going through this again. I have a lot of respect for John Force. I met him at a race in Phoenix about 20 years ago and had my young son with me. He was super friendly and asked if I was OK if he gave my son a closer look at his race car and of course I said yes. He picked my son up and put him in the driver's seat. I have a great picture of my son in the seat with John next to him, both with huge smiles on their face. My son showed that picture to John last year at a race and he signed it.

We heard a couple minutes ago that he was taken to the hospital by helicopter tho. I was a paramedic for quite a while ago and the company I worked for had the contract for the then Norwalk Raceway Park - now it's Summit Motorsports in Norwalk, OH - but during Nationals there we had a helicopter on standby so that the ambulance could stay at the track so I'm hoping that's the same thing now. John and his crew are supposed to be in Norwalk next weekend. I've known John for so long and not sure there's going to be anything to really stop him and even if he's not racing I know he'll still be there for Britany and the other racers in the Force Racing family but it'll be strange to not see him behind the wheel of his car

You who love Me faithfully, I will love You faithfully, and those who love Me unfaithfully, My hatred will forever remain with them, so that they will forever remember that I am the true God, the God who searches the depths of the human heart. Anyone who does not desire Me honestly, I will immediately and mercilessly judge them. My Son, be careful; spend more time in My presence and I will take care of you. Do not be afraid, take My sharp double-edged sword, and--according to My will--fight Satan to the end. I will take care of you; do not worry. My judgment has come in full; the church is a war zone. I am your power, and I am your everything. I am with you, and you are with Me, will be kings forever! Be observant!) Almighty God said I am RIGHTEOUS, I am HONEST, and I search the depths of the HUMAN HEART! I will immediately reveal who is true and who is false: Do not fear, everything works according to My timing. WHO REALLY DESIRES Me, WHO DOESN'T----I will tell you, one by one. Just be sure to EAT WELL and DRINK WELL, and COME CLOSE to Me when you are in My presence, and I WILL DO My WORK MYSELF. Don't get too excited about immediate results; My work is not something that can be done immediately. It contains My steps and My wisdom, and that is why My wisdom can be revealed. I WILL LET YOU SEE what My HANDS ARE DOING---PUNISHING EVIL and REWARDING GOOD. 🙏 I really do not favor anyone. You who LOVE Me FAITHFULLY, I WILL LOVE YOU FAITHFULLY, and those who love Me UNFAITHFULLY, My HATE will remain forever in them, so that they will forever remember I am the TRUE GOD, the GOD who examines the depths of the HEART of PEOPLE. Do not act one way when facing others but another way when their backs are turned, I clearly see everything you do, and even if you deceive others, you will not deceive Me. I see you all clearly. ☀️ You cannot possibly hide anything; everything is in My hands. Don't think you're so smart because you can benefit from your little manipulations. I SAY TO YOU: NO MATTER HOW MANY PLANS A PEOPLE MAKE, THOUSANDS or TENS OF THOUSANDS, IN THE END THEY CANNOT ESCAPE FROM MY PALACE. ☀️ EVERYTHING is controlled by My HAND, especially a HUMAN! Don't try to avoid Me or hide, don't try to deceive or hide. Can you still not see that My GLORIOUS FACE, My WRATH and My JUDGMENT, have been REVEALED to the AUDIENCE? Anyone who does not love Me honestly, I will immediately and mercilessly JUDGE them. My MERCY HAS REACHED THE ULTIMATE; There is NOTHING left there. Stop being hypocrites, and stop your violent and careless ways. My Child, BE CAREFUL; spend MORE TIME in My PRESENCE and I will TAKE CARE of YOU. 🙏 DO NOT BE AFRAID, take My SHARP SWORD with a DOUBLE EDGE, and---that which is in accordance with My WILL----FIGHT SATAN until the END. I will take care of you; Do not worry. ☀️🙏 ALL THINGS that are hidden will be OPENED and REVEALED. I am the LIGHT-GIVING SUN, LIGHTING ALL DARKNESS without ceasing. My JUDGMENT has ARRIVED in FULL; the CHURCH is a PLACE of WAR. 🙏 You ALL must PREPARE yourselves and your WHOLE BEINGS for the FINAL BATTLE that DECIDES; I will DEFINITELY CARE FOR YOU so that YOU can FIGHT WELL and SUCCESSFULLY for Me. 🙏 BEWARE---PEOPLE'S HEARTS TODAY are DECEPTIVE and unpredictable and they have NO way to win other PEOPLE'S TRUST. I am the ONLY ONE who is COMPLETELY FOR YOU. THERE is NO DECEPTION in Me; Just lean on Me! My CHILDREN will SURELY be VICTORIOUS in the FINAL BATTLE that will DECIDE, and SATAN will SURELY COME OUT and die. Do not be afraid! I am YOUR POWER, and I am YOUR ALL. 🙏 Don't overthink things, you can't handle that much thinking. I have said before, I will not lead you on the path, because it is out of time. I don't have time to pull you by the ear and warn you all the time---it's not possible! Just finish your preparations for the battle. Your Full LIABILITY; ALL THINGS are in My HANDS. This is a FIGHT to the DEATH, and one side or the other will surely DIE. 🙏 But this must be clear to you: I am ever VICTORIOUS and UNDEFEATED, and SATAN WILL DEFINITELY DIE. This is My WAY, My WORK, My WILL and My PLAN! 🙏 Finished! ALL AND DONE! DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED or FEAR. I WITH YOU, and you WITH Me, shall be KINGS FOREVER! 🙏 My WORD, once SPOKEN, WILL NEVER CHANGE, and the EVENT is about to overtake you. Be OBSERVANT! 🌻🙏 You must think over every word; do not be vague about My words. You must be clear about them! You must remember-----spend as much time as possible in My presence! 🙏 From "The WORD Appears in the Flesh". holy book Fulfilled in "In the beginning He was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). ... and (Ezekiel 2:9-10). ... "His garment was stained with blood. He was called the "Word of God" (Rev. 19:13). 📩 All who have "ears to listen" are led to what the Spirit of God is saying in His lowered and built kingdom/Church engraved with His new name, His totality, the ownership of this disposition, "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD "💐 fulfillment from what was said He to Peter 2,000 years ago recorded in (Matthew 16:18-19). His Coming is the fulfillment of all that was prophesied in the great book of Revelation, so the last "Salvation" He brought the whole truth, the way for eternal life. So the "victorious" ones who will receive them are the wise "virgins" because as recorded in the prophecy of His return no one knows it except the one who will receive it! So "come" and come to His kingdom/church standing in the holy place in the air/KZbin! This is also a fulfillment from the book of (Isaiah 2:2/9:6) which He first fulfilled in His first incarnation. 📥 "They say with a loud voice, "Salvation comes from the Lamb, and from our God who sits on the Throne!" (Rev. 7:10). ... and (Isaiah 2: 2 / 9:6) "On the Last Day, the mountain on which Jehovah's temple stands will stand out above all the mountains. All nations will flock there. " . "For a baby boy is born to us. The rule will be given to him; and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

What 'd like to know 24 hours after this happened: 1. How John is doing (obviously). That hit on the left side was awful. Alexis DeJoria had a similar but not nearly as bad a hit at Sonoma a few years ago -- and broke her pelvis. Robert Hight broke his collarbone in St. Louis when an engine explosion broke the body in a way that sent it left into the wall. Hopefully John doesn't have anything like that going on. 2. Why the chutes didn't come out. I'm guessing the electronics got knocked out by the explosion. Either that or the deployment cables were hindered in some way by the damaged body. 3. What caused the car to go left. He countersteered once the rear tires came down after the explosion -- but after that there were no other visible steering corrections. Just went straight in the wall. Did the steering get caught up on something? Was John unable to steer? I'm guessing something like the tin from in back of the engine got knocked onto his hands or into the steering box in some fashion. A shame this happened as he and Prock are doing so well this year. He doesn't have too many shots at another championship left -- and this will set this year's effort back. The good news is most of the safety equipment, especially the padding around his helmet in the roll cage, did its job and kept him in seemingly good shape. Good luck, John.

I think that a LOT of people don't know what Force has done for the sport. When Garlts and Prudhomme retired, it was left for him to keep it alive. Several others kept going, but Force has been the real face of, and ambassador of drag racing. Without Force, drag racing wouldn't be close to what it is today. Shoemacher is gone now...Kalitta, and Dunn can't be far behind. Once again, it's gonna be on Force to continue to promote, and be the face of the sport. Love the guy, or not...nothing has been better than Force interview, be it a win, or a crash, for pure entertainment value. ... for 40 years!!! We love ya, Force!!

The car veered left into the opposite wall, crashing and then careening back across the track into the right wall. Force was able to escape the flames and climb to safety before getting in an ambulance." He was also held for observation. John, hope you recover as well as ever but at 75, it might just be time to hang up the helmet and groom a good replacement. @@joelstapleton4033 Earnhardt's wreck was much different than this one!! It was just as brutal, but in a different way. The safety equipment these days is heads and shoulders better than what Dale had. He was running an open-face helmet with no HANS device. SAFER barriers weren't a thing yet either. That, coupled with the angle and speed at which he hit the wall, is what caused his fatal injury. In this case, John's safety equipment was top-notch. The best of the best. But at 75yo body can only handle so much! Even in great physical shape, there are limitations. And, as another poster commented, the fire inhalation risk is a great concern. Lungs, no matter the age, don't heal so well after that... Seeing him alert and talking with the first responders was great, but he definitely looked like he was in some serious pain.
