54:18 - This has gotta be one of the best-told stories of witnessing a drag race I've ever heard. You can tell that was the first moment John put himself on the other side of the fiberglass and thought what everyone else thinks when they see a loved one strapped to one of these beasts. I've watched this video about half a dozen times. And every time, I listen to that story about 10 times in a row.

Awesome interview and some great stories from one of the best story tellers in the racing business. I've had spent plenty times sitting with, John and other drivers in his pit after qualifying on Friday and Saturday nights n sitting there drinking a beer with these guys and listening to their stories about things that's happened at past races. Most of em so funny that it would make me bust out laughing. Anyway, John Force is the best, not only behind the wheel of a Top Fuel Funny Car, but also at putting smiles on fans faces, and his story telling is the best. Ill never forget the great times I've had with, John thru the mid 90s to 2018. I Haven't been able to make it to the races since. Get well John, miss n love ya brother

I met him in Vegas. He was all alone, just sitting out by his Funny Car wearing jeans and a "T" shirt. Don't remember which car. It was early 2000's or maybe late 90's. He was sitting quietly under a canopy and sweating his Ass Off. I don't think anyone knew who he was. I recognized him immediately and started walking over for an autograph when he got up to go into his trailer, I guess. I turned and walked away. He said "Oh, are u coming over here? - need something?" I said "it's ok, I don't wanna keep you" He sat back down with a huge smile and "I got nowhere to be - no problem" He signed a photo for me and asked about my day -If I was having a good day. It was brutally hot that day. I've met more than a few famous people and they were all nice enough. But I'll never forget that moment. What a nice man to do that for just one guy who didn't matter at all.

I got a photo with John when I was 4 years old. He held me up and let my dad take a picture of us. John Force was already my idol at the time. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. That is, until 26 years later in 2017, Maple Grove. Me and my Pop went to watch qualifying on a hot Saturday (nearly melted my phone in the stands). We walked through the pits and John was doing his usual thing, signing autographs for anyone seeking one. I bided my time and almost got cold feet, but my dad had that picture blown up to poster size, and I wanted to see if I could get John to sign it. Finally he notices me and waves me over. I explain that I'm a lifelong fan, and I show him the original picture we took in '91. He smiled and said something about getting old, then I showed him the blown-up version of the photo. He immediately signed not only the poster, but also the original picture, then took another picture with me (although he did turn to another fan because, well... John is busy on race weekends). I have the poster, with the photo, framed in my bedroom. Reading your account of meeting him reminded me of that moment. John is one of a small handful of celebrities I've ever met, but he's got the biggest personality and the kindest nature of anyone I've met ever. The guy is truly larger than life.

Had the air let out of his sails in 1992 with Cruz Pedregon winning the FC title but then he went on a tear that nobody could ever dream of. winning 10 in a row and 12 in 13 seasons. No other team in the history of any sport has ever been so dominant. The closest is the Boston Celtics winning 11 titles in 13 seasons.

Well done video, thank you for putting it altogether and letting us watch it. On John Force, sure he's loud, maybe a wee bit (LOL!!) crude & crass at times, but anyone that loved going to the races and also watched them on TV whenever possible, well us race-fans got to see him & his team make their way from the small struggling team they were, into the giants they grew to be. And I like that he's the way he his, 'Loud & Proud!' and that he stands up for himself & takes no shit. I grew up with some of my dad's friends who at the time were having some pretty hard luck times and sometimes some of them would live with us, men who were proud & when excited they were similarly loud. They were good men of true honesty & hardworking too, all of them.
