Going to school that Thursday morning unaware what the next few hours would bring. To me Munich was somewhere in Germany but by teatime it was in my bedroom. Told by brother of what had happened tears that lasted for days started. It was the day when DEVILS became ANGELES.

Absolutely love listening to John Giles. His knowledge of football for me is unmatched.

I don't know exactly where I was when it happened - I was 6 and living in Benghazi (my dad was in the army) About a year later I remember talking to my brother and sister and saying me dad was a United fan. They (who didn't like football) said 'No, he's a City fan'. He was in the kitchen talking to a mate. I asked him the fatal question. He said nothing but I remember the look he gave me. I was a United fan by then and remained so. I can only imagine that the talk around me would have been about the disaster. Without the crash I may have ended up a City fan.

We wouldn’t have heard of Best, Law, Dunne or Stiles if that accident hadn’t occurred…the 66’ final teamsheet would have looked different as well
