Frank Rudolph Emmanuel Olson (July 17, 1910 - November 28, 1953) was an American bacteriologist, biological warfare scientist, and an employee of the United States Army Biological Warfare Laboratories (USBWL) who worked at Camp Detrick (now Fort Detrick) in Maryland. At a meeting in rural Maryland, he was covertly dosed with LSD by his colleague Sidney Gottlieb (head of the CIA's MKUltra program) and, nine days later, plunged to his death from the window of the Hotel Statler in New-York.

Hinkley hasn't been in jail ever, I think. He was in a psych Hospital for 20 years, and has been living with his mother in the DC Suburbs basically on probation the past 20 or so years, and just recently has been cut free of the probation and is a totally free person. It's kind of fucked up when you consider the damage he did to James Brady. When James Brady died in 2014, his death was ruled a homicide caused by the gunshot wound he received from Hinkley during the assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan. Hinkley tried to kill the President in 1981, and now he's on spotify. Only in America.

@@hippiecheezburger5457 There probably are a few loose ends but for the most part I think the prosecution get everything right. A few months after the murders Susan Atkins spilled the beans to her cellmate informant, this included her culpability, the other murderers involvement, and how Charlie was gong to start a race war while they went and lived in a huge hole in the desert. I think the best part of O'Neil's book was how crazy and abusive Bugliosi was, and most of it is on record. I guess he did fit the workaholic neglect what's going on at home type though.

And this is part of why I have a problem with Joe. He talks so confidently about shit he’s wrong about or misinformed on. Already going off with “you know Hinkley just got out of jail!” John Hinkley was found INNOCENT of his charges and never did a day in prison. He was put into mental care and for the last many many years he’s been free on his own living with his mother who recently passed away. Even his music channel is multiple years old. This podcast can be entertaining but it’s super obnoxious when Joe speaks so factually about the wrong things to MILLIONS of people.
