John Houseman's McDonald's commercials were the best. He also did a training video for them.

Mr. Houseman's speech pattern accenting certain words is the same as Professor Kingsfield's.

I have been told that, in his youth, he had something of a stammer and he learned to put a little rhythm in his talk--thus he became the excellent teacher he was at both UCLA and Julliard. He essentially created the theater programs at both schools. Students not in his courses, I have heard, would sit in on his lectures just for entertainment's sake. His speech was compelling--which is so necessary for any stage actor. He counseled his student Robin Williams to discard his plan to do comedy so he could get on a TV series. "Mr. Williams, the theater NEEDS you!" he said. Oddly, I have known people who caught Williams' early standup act and it was perfectly theatrical. He never went 'dry'. He did many funny voices and had an actor's discipline to memorize hours of material. See his comedy album Reality--What a Concept! Mr. Houseman, I have been told, was far warmer a person to his students than Professor Kingfield. I certainly miss him. There is so little class left in what remains of American cinema.

Houseman was a loser who was jealous of Orson Welles.

Houseman enjoyed not only a highly successful early career but also a remarkable and enviable resurgence in his twilight years, unlike the fat, gluttonous, sloppy, and drunken stuttering failure Welles portrayed to the world as he slowly faded away into embarrassing obscurity. There are numerous cringe-worthy videos on KZbin and elsewhere showcasing Welles' decline which substantiate my statements just in case you want to make a fool of yourself by refuting them.
