Of course! He rebelled against the Bride of Christ, just like when Lucifer rebelled against God by saying “I will not serve”.

Rome is neither Catholic nor the Bride of Christ. Rome was called to repentance at the Reformation,it chose to reject it & Christ.

Look at the confusion and division the doctrine of Sola Scriptura has caused, which is of the devil.

Absolutely, there are over 40,000 denominations, each one asserting that their interpretation is the correct one 🤷♂

@@PatOnCloud09 There aren't 40,000 denominations.

On the contrary, sola scriptura is the historic faith of the Church, Augustine held held to it.

@@martinploughboy988 It doesn't matter as long as there are more than two divisions. I can only list a few here: Lutheranism, Anglicanism (including Episcopalians), Presbyterianism, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Adventist, Reformed Churches, Congregationalism, Holiness Churches, Churches of Christ, Quakers (Society of Friends), Anabaptists (e.g., Mennonites, Amish), Evangelical Free Churches, Christian and Missionary Alliance, Nazarene, Church of the Brethren, Disciples of Christ, United Church of Christ, Charismatic Movement, and many more. Each claims to be inspired by the same Holy Spirit. Have you ever wondered how the same Holy Spirit could lead to such varied interpretations?

@@martinploughboy988 Augustine held Scripture in the highest regard, yet his theology was firmly rooted in the integration of Scripture, Church tradition, and ecclesial authority as a cohesive foundation. To delve deeper into his perspectives, you might explore his works such as Confessions or The City of God. Additionally, his writings against the Donatists and Pelagians offer valuable insights into his views on the Church's authority and its role in interpreting and safeguarding doctrine.

“Tired of Churches corruption, looking for a return to a simpler more authentic faith” Matthew- 23 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses. 3 Therefore, whatever they tell you, do and [a]comply with it all, but do not do [b]as they do; for they say things and do not do them.”

Discover the life and legacy of John Huss, a pivotal figure in Christianity and a precursor to the Protestant Reformation. From his humble beginnings in Husinec, Bohemia, to his academic excellence at the University of Prague, Huss's journey was profoundly influenced by John Wycliffe’s writings. Preaching at Bethlehem Chapel in the Czech language, Huss emphasized sola scriptura and rallied against Church corruption, particularly the sale of indulgences. Despite being excommunicated and facing an unfair trial at the Council of Constance, Huss remained steadfast in his beliefs, ultimately becoming a martyr in 1415. His teachings paved the way for the Protestant Reformation and continue to inspire the fight for truth and justice. #JohnHuss #ProtestantReformation #ChurchHistory #SolaScriptura #Christianity #ReligiousReform #Martyrdom #JohnWycliffe #HussiteWars
