I’m a little late to the comments lol but as an Alumni of the Silver Eagles I can tell you all this. We broke a lot of rifles (more than I would like to remember lol) no the rifles don’t weigh 2 pounds, they’re m1903 replicas made by daisy. We have actually broke the fiberglass stocks and shattered the receivers. We would practice for hours and hours until we got it right, and then one more time after that just because. If you didn’t go home after practice bruised or tired, you didn’t practice hard enough. We were definitely an outstanding team and i see that they still are. Very proud of these boys and what they do! Good job boys! EOA

@danbroadus79562 жыл бұрын
Depends on the stock. Fiberglass made up the bulk of our battalions 200 rifles. We had wooden 1903 Springfields with lead filled barrels for drill meets or ceremonies. Cracked a few in my days. The triple flip catching behind my back while dropping to a knee took some practice. Did they impose rules for the competition? We use to toss that rifle backwards from the head of the line to the back. If you missed someone was bleeding usually.

Very well done, incredibly executed, very sharp, but 5 bucks says those rifles wieghed in around 2 lbs.

Maybe, they look an awful like the ones we use tho, ours are roughly 12-13 pounds.

P Minerv Thes rifles are full Daisy Replica Drill Rifles, which weigh the full 8.6 lbs. Nationals regulation for full weight rifles is 8-9 lbs.
@americandrillreport4 жыл бұрын
sorry m8 Drill rifles do not weigh 12-13 lbs. Both Daisy and DrillAmerica (Glendale) weigh 8.6 lbs. Fully demilitarized weapons weigh a little closer to 9 lbs.
@sorrym84214 жыл бұрын
@@americandrillreport oh shoot, sorry dude you are right, they added weight to the ones we practice with in order to add a little more difficulty, help with discipline, and speed up muscle memory. The drill comp rifles that are much cleaner and well kept are the ones that weigh 8.6 pounds, sorry for the confusion.

I was actually apart of the Silver Eagles that year 2017 but only performed in color guard since during practice I injured my ankle but after that year I moved to Hawaii to go to Kapolei high school and I had a girlfriend at the time at Waianae high school soo for the most part I’ve been to tons of competitions on the island and I can say this about Hawaiian drill there is a ton of power and speed and it’s really impressive but as an Silver Eagle I learned we craved competition we craved people to try to beat us cuz we try harder “as u see in those guys faces the anger and fight” so it was a craving for winning which made us soo good and not only that but I can say the amount of time I was with them they r still family to me to this day and that was the key to everything was being a family and knowing that I had their backs and they had mine EOA
