Credit to all the Irish dancers ( I am an Irish dancer but not in that video ) I just wanted to ask, isn’t this illegal, I mean you’re not supposed to record and then posted on KZbin as far as I’m told by the judges and the one who started all the feis’s.

The tradition used to be that you'd wear your "Sunday Best" to compete, and curling your hair was part of that if you were a girl. That stuck going forward. I don't have an exact year on when the wigs started to appear, but my guess would be either late 90s or early 2000s, after Riverdance and LotD popularized Irish dance. I'm grateful for the wigs, to be honest -- my hair can't hold a curl to save its life 🙃
