A hard job done well - fair play! Why can’t these referees, especially quality ones, be evaluated year by year…..? The GAA needs to be more pragmatic and help the best game in the world. Inconsistent refereeing could destroy the game.

Amazing to see a Wicklow man in Croke Park on All Ireland final day. And a hurling one at that. One of the few counties, if not the only one, not to have won a provincial title. (Baltinglass, that's club) I hear the lady's football are coming, though. Maybe wonderful Simon Harris could help ye out like JP with Limerick. Lots of backhanders there I'd say.

Fermanagh have never won one. Jimmy Hatton refereed 2 All Ireland Hurling Finals. He was a Wicklow man.
