*Translation:* I've been drawing my whole life. Everything I make always starts with me drawing, both when I'm writing and directing the style of a story board and when visualizing episodes and scenes in the things and universes that I'm working on. I am John Kenn Mortensen. I'm an illustrator, author, director and just generally and artist. I'm an emotional man who can't really take many things seriously. This is why i hope the humor in my work is apparent, since my work always takes place in an eerie/gloomy universe. This is because I've grown up with a sort of comfort in the gloomy things from horror movies in pop culture, Death Metal, Punk Rock and Horror literature like, "H. P. Lovecraft" and "Stephen King". I've decided to bring with me, 50 Post-It drawings from a few years back when I had a responsible and demanding full time job and newborn twins. At that time I was working on a "herb garden project{hard to translate}", where I begun drawing on Post-It notes. And it became a big thing for me, and it came alive on the internet, where i released two books with the Post-It note monsters, and i thought it related very well to the approach Storm P (A Danish cartoonist, Robert Storm Petersen) had to his (unintelligible)[some kind of works], so that's why i brought 50 of those with me. And I also brought a larger work with me, which is a fictional boarding school project illustrating a group of kids and their school, which I hope is a piece one can delve into and stare at for a very long time. As a child, I was always fascinated by Storm P's chain reactions and inventions, as well as the humor and creativity within it, and the expressions in the drawings. I'm fascinated by his ability to create so much humor without context. And then later as an executive artist, I found it inspiring to see some who is also defined as an artist- *Sorry don't have time to translate anymore.
