We are fed up, but where was everyone on November 7 th.? I live in a town of 47,000 some odd people and only 3,229 votes in our election on Tuesday. What the hell is wrong with everyone? Is it because the right wing media tells us it’s going to be a red wave and everyone sits home and thinks they’re only one and the others will vote the right way? We’re absolutely privileged in this country to have voting rights and free speech and we throw it away time and time again. I'm sure in LA, the state ranked 44th in education, 20% of the population living below the poverty line, and 83% of people on welfare (see dcfs.louisiana.gov) would lock their doors. They can't even afford food. I'd be scared of breakins there too. People are desperate for help. As Senator Kennedy just said, since the Affordable Care Act was passed, insurance premiums have skyrocketed, and in addition, the deductibles have more than tripled, which has left many patients unable to pay both the massive premiums AND their office visits which now go towards their deductible. I am in healthcare and see this on a daily basis. It's heartbreaking to watch. The insurance companies need to be brought under control, especially for people with lower paying jobs.

All USA citizens need to understand that USA Healthcare will be the using the same business model as the Universities/Colleges did after the USA Government decided to back student loans ... The cost rose due to there being more money available in other words many will raise the Cost because they know they can get more and this was implemented into a Billing System that at the time already had Drs ,Hospitals, Pharmacist and Drug Companies over charging for service just to get the minimum needed for the Cost of Service or products provided... Of course there are some trying to do better but they may as well be a fish in the Ocean for the amount of positive impact on the situation...
